What sets this apart from other classic sad video game scenes is that there is no death. Final Fantasy X's ending comes close to that, but that could in some way be argued as a death. This scene is just the abrupt separation of two great friends and yet it's as emotional or more so than Aeris' death or Dom's reunion in GoW2. What makes it even sadder is that the world is better aftrwards and Klonoa isn't shown at the very end further empathizing their separation, closing on Huepow in this world.
Man you people know what I hate the fact that couldn't beat then and can't beat it now I remember playing the demo of this game in one of those disks that came with a ps1 it was the only thing I ever played up until I got the actual game but it got scratched so I hacked my psp just so I could play this game again
I relate so badly! I remember playing this when I was 7 years old. This was actually the first game I'd ever played and beat on playstation. The ending was so heavy, but rejuvenating. I honestly cried after seeing this clip. It's an all time classic. I just wish the games of today had just as much sentiment and innocence, but are able to be related to various contexts. I'm glad they've created a Klonoa 2 though! lol.
It's not so bad. You can easily download ePSXe. Finding the BIOS might cause some problems. And the game, well, you could try downloading it from somewhere.
is huepow a teletuby?Damn his wii design looks awesomer than this,or better for him to stay in his ring spirit form

@ArdentArden Couldn't have said it better!
DubbleJ 6 months ago
@ArdentArden yeah. It was somewhat similar to Final Fantasy X. Especially the part where, their world is better afterwards.

I didn't cry at ALL...
I guess that makes a bizzare, mutated freak of nature!
But still, it's hard do belive that Namco
started off with a yellow circle who eats pellets... Then they made THIS. They stepped up their A-game quite a bit when they made Mr. Floppy-Ears...

The memory of 5 years ago...you made me missed Klonoa. And the touching ending...great game!
CalbeeMew 2 years ago
Oh, haha, Klonoa 2. I can't do that one, because my PC isn't capable of running it. Well, maybe play the game, but recording it would be a problem.
DubbleJ 2 years ago
PC? You played it with your computer?
CalbeeMew 2 years ago
Yes. I made an image od my original CD, and used ePSXe to run the game. Fraps to record the game.
DubbleJ 2 years ago
wow...that's a complicated procedure. I hope to play it with PC too. Coz' my playstation had been damaged a few years ago.
