  • 9 people are clearly retarded.... sorry i mean mentally challenged

    stupid assholes

  • I have to thank my mom for introducing them to me and for getting me a customized signed album for me.

  • does anyone know if i can this for my Montage?

  • I had an inclination that hes talking about sweatshops oversees where little girls and boys are forced to work in unsanity conditions for wealth and befits of big corperations and logical misformation.

  • tight

  • You already knew that because they're sweatshop fans

  • Nirvana in the suggestions. It's good to know Sweatshop fans have great taste in music.

  • shit i love how they make you feel them, its almost rape

  • This song reminds me of my life. In fact, most of Sweatshops' songs remind me of my life. Probably why I like em so much. I also went to school with a few of em. That helps.

  • i was dissapointed to find out they were white.

  • @YaBoyBr0wn Canada for the win

  • @YaBoyBr0wn why?

  • @YaBoyBr0wn How can you judge a rapper based on his skin color? You're saying they're good, and then you're like, oh, wait, they're white. Why would you be prejudice to the color of somebody's skin color? How does that make them a bad rapper? Anybody who can convey a good message, and keep a good flow is a good rapper! Just enjoy the music.

  • @xF4T4L thes guys suck now dat they r white. fuck whites. all u bitches do is kill my kinda!!! fukkaz!

  • @YaBoyBr0wn I have no idea what you're talking about. Sorry but you're the kind of person who's keeping racism from being demolished in this country. I have a lot of African American friends, and nothing against them at all. Get past slavery, those days are over. How do you plan to get by in life if you're holding grudges towards a group of people who've never done anything? That's a stereotype; when you associate people with a common action or trait based on a feature about them. Grow up man.

  • @xF4T4L you think i like grape dranK? you fukka

  • @YaBoyBr0wn You have no idea what he is talking about at all do you..

  • My dad showed me this dose that make him a hip-hop hipster

  • one of my best friends from college got me into sweat shop union. he had to quit college coz he got kicked out of home, and had to get some shitty job just to get by. he gave up on the future he wanted, but kept his spirit, and his love for REAL music. we've gone our separate ways in life, but i listen to this song every day, think of him, and hope that hes alright.

  • @SistaBlunt thats a touching story bro

  • 7 people should get punched in the face.. Really fckin hard!

  • never liked rap or hip hop before i heard jurrasic 5 and these guys hella good stuff

  • Repeat! one m 0:00 re time!

  • The only thing better than listening to this song, is seeing a live Sweatshop Union show and having them perform after the audience starts chanting a request.

  • you should post the lyrics.. such a sick video

  • Wow great sound and graphics

  • @sneltekenaarHugo Thanks. I hate the shit sound by most youtube uploads. First it starts at a highly compressed MP3, then further reduced by Youtube's flash conversion. The video I have on my computer is even higher quality than this, but this is still good.

    Cheers

  • lol i couldnt believe hes white.....................still one crazy ass song this is one of the best songs ever

  • I downloaded SWU when I first heard them. Since then I have bought every album I could find, a couple of times due to my inability to keep cd's in good shape. I have seen them live four times and bought a t-shirt.

"unless there's less than three tracks you like If it was worth spending money then we actually might, why pay a fee when you can get it for free from a friends mp3' Something like that anyways.

  • @guy0Npage38XBL erm all sweatshop union/swollen member songs are boss

  • @guy0Npage38XBL hard to find like this but for peaceful hiphop try Nujabes Luv pt3 or maybe viro the virus starlight (feat snowgoons)

  • @swoopidoo Thanks a lot man those were both great songs and i hadn't heard of any of those artists. Thanks for putting me onto something new! If you have anymore recommendations id love to hear them.

  • sickkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • Yeah this group is solid, there's tons of good underground hip-hop to hear, you just have to search it out a little....

  • Canadian hip hop is where it's at... I've said that many times just well, because it's true!!! I'm not saying there are no talent in hip hop in other countries but in Canada most are talented and should be listened to more. That Drake dude I could do without though...

  • Hell of a live show these guys.

  • i live in the same town they do , anyways people check me out

  • my new favorite song

  • Sweat shop union makes the best music, it's wierd that they don't get a lot of hype on tv or places like HMV, I wanna buy there album, but they don't sell there cd's there, they only sell albums by lil wayne, jay-z and the big names.

  • @Gorandragicfan Hmmm probobly because MTV or some shit like that doesnt want to take the time to put shit up like this

Kids now and days all wanna listen to drug this whores that killing gang whatever

but if i were in charge hell I'd be putting less mainstream artists like these guys up there

  • @pnysk8ter hmmm well im 16, i like eminem all the fucked up shit he comes out with, but i also love this so it cant be that

  • These cats are not only very talented, they are also awesome people. If you give them reason they will be happy to have a drink with you and shoot the breeze. If anyone disagrees, heck, it's only a matter of opinion.

  • Sick, Seeing these guys in a month. Didn't know what to expect, definately stoked for it now.

  • Wish these guys would practice rap techniques, they have no skill.

  • aight guys I agree with everything about how the mainstream sucks and these guys are sick. there is no doubt about it.

what about lupe fiasco though? that man is a genius, lyrically.

  • @kmizze agreed.

  • @kmizze Lupe is just too plain. He needs to learn some more sophisticated Words.Hah :D

  • Goin to see these mo foes this month!!

  • Cause I make money; Money don't make me.

  • Not to be gay, but I'd any of these guys' penises.

  • My new favorite song. These guy are hella good, I get lost in this tune every time I hear it. Nice to cruise to while longboarding

  • unfortunate for me, i couldnt afford to be fortunate

  • hip hop to me is a beat and a rhyme.

  • "and pay for a government that dont work for us" OH MY!

  • Could care less about seeing them live. Would like to speak to them though. Good stuff. Life hurts...but you got to deal with it...I recently lost my house, my fiancee of 3 years, and I thought I had a good philosophy of life, but until bad experiences hits you, as well as good ones, you will never realize what you have until it's gone. Appreciate what you have. Keep trying.

  • I'd suggest getting this whole album "Water Street"

One of my favorite hip hop albums of all time!

Great meaning accompanied by a great flow and well engineered beats!

this is a pretty chill song tho

  • I love his voice in the chorus

  • How big are these guys in canada? How come they don´t get bigger abroad?

I started listening to them about 1½ years ago, it´s fuckin great music!

    peace

  • if people wouldnt download Sweatshop Union, Swollen Members, Moka Only or any other artist from Battle Axe records.... they wouldnt be known at all :) these guys are known t hx to 'illegal' downloading.... idiot xd

  • @ShadowMajestic dude, I feel as far as exposure is concerned, however, if you are listening to this, you should have enough of a brain to support them... I mean the way that I perceive new wave hip hop is that the artists are basically modern day philosophers. Which is soooo important as far as the grand scheme of the timeline is concerned but history does tend to repeat itself and being grounded and having original ideas has been a poor mans gig for ages... lets change that! Ya mean?

  • Rap is phylosophy, hip hop is party/fun music :) big difference.

Swollen Members does both great, has several great phylosophic songs, but also some great party songs.

Some songs are in the middle.

But yes, guys like these HAVE to get more attention, show the world HipHop/Rap aint as crappy as 50 Cent etc. are showing us :(

  • @ShadowMajestic Hey, I'm not going to disagree with you, however, where I come from I think your situation is flipped for me. Hip hop belongs to true artists like Promoe, One Be Lo, KRS One, etc... they have profound messages, that grip reality and test the boundaries of the unseen.... I see rap as Lil' Wayne and his likes that just don't make sense... but I hear them at clubs. PEACE!

  • @timczarnecki2112

Where I'm from thats how it is too. Hip-Hop is more lyrical, something you can contemplate. Rap is club music that you dance to. Thats why Lil' Wayne is classified as Rap and Atmosphere is Hip-hop. Not putting either down, gotta have club hits that fine women can shake their ass to, but we also need deep music, Lyrical music that we can take something from. Hip-Hop can make us more learn'ed...hahaha.

  • @timczarnecki2112 quite some hip hop artists became popular on the mainstream path. But that where the 90's man, thats passed. And will NEVER come back. The 90's where great, loved it. But the 00's you get told what to listen to, and no thank you. As you say yourself, you hear Lil Wayne and that stuff, that shit just makes me cry :( Only hiphop we get as mainstream is Eminem, 50, Dr. Dre, Timbaland and the occasional Snoop Dogg. While there is so much better. So ye, then downloading is the key.

  • @ShadowMajestic I agree with what you said but Eminem is too much of a hip-rock&roll-weird... combo to it. I mean, I really liked him, until two albums ago then I stopped taking him seriously as an artist. If you listen to his first albums, yes, pure gold, but listening to his newer stuff.. I'm not convinced it's good or even hip-hop.

  • @timczarnecki2112 amen bro

  • Bullshit, its the other way around, rap is what you do, Hip Hop is how you live it, Hip Hop is LIFE, why do you think real hip hop is called UNDERGROUND, you never hear of underground Rap, its always been called Underground Hip Hop

  • You spelled philosophy wrong dickhead.

  • @AfricanRabbitProd

    shut the fuck up :D

  • @ShadowMajestic so beautifully true power of word of mouth

  • @ShadowMajestic oh really? hmmmmm ya id love to pay to be known too hey? u think they dont put shit into this? u fucking ignorant goof

  • @SIGsogger thing is, they are completely UNKNOWN in europe. Noone knows them here, anyonei know who does know them, knows them thanks to me. Same in the US where they're quite unknown too, only country they are somewhat known is goddamn CANADA.

the more people download their music, the more fans they get, the more gigs they can do, the more money they can earn.

Even tho they own their own record company, they'd still earn more doing gigs then selling CD's.

  • @SIGsogger oh and one more thing, what i get from their lyrics, style and 'way' is that they just LOVE making music. They arent doing it to be filthy rich, they aint G-Unit.

  • nothing to do with it ...the only reason is that they dont speak of drugs, sex and money in all their lyrics ...thats why man....and it make me sick...

  • exactly. Real lyrics with a Real meaning, something you have to open up your mind to. Not just pretend to embrace and understand like most people do. I mean it's something you really have to relate to, something you find.

  • @Excelo24

    You could say its esoteric.

  • i found these guys cuzz i 'gotten' a CD from Swollen Members, if you like Sweatshop Union, go check Swollen Members and Moka Only... same record label, same greatness :D

  • Why aren't they 'bigger'?...Only because THERE better than what the radio plays...lol

    SweatShop 4 Life...BC/4:20...1212

  • oh my

  • just got back from seeing these guys at the Marquis in denver...killer show, gives me faith in the direction of hip hop

  • You might like Aussie rap like Hilltop Hoods or The Herd

  • The Herd is amazing. Urthboy is my very favorite right now. Hilltop Hoods, not a huge fan.

  • Really you don't like "chase that feeling?"

  • HILLTOP HOODS ARE THE SHIT HANDS DOWN

  • jealous...my brother went but i was unable to get a ticket

  • yeah dude shit fucking killed it.the Swollen Members show at the Fox in boulder a few days ago with Common Market, Big B, and Bliss n' Esso was fucking outragious as well

  • Saw these guys on Saturday at the Clearwater Kayak Festival. They are fucking amazing! They put on a hell of a show!

  • i just saw them live at nakusp musicfest they were amazing!!!!!!!

  • if you're brown i'm down

  • Sweatshop is playing right beside my house on the 25th for the dancing man festival , me and my homies from gulf course productions are opening for them..im stoked

  • love! love! love!

  • shit homeys.. thats hard!

  • dooppeeee.

    the union is sick.

    i love 'em.

    :]

  • chicharones are kinda funny cus theyre mexican canadians, but yea good stuff.

Great song, gotta love their optimistic stuff, like stolen memories, i've been down, this one reminds me of hit the wall, kinda funny how they can have such an optimistic outlook laced into the song with themes that suggest life is so cruel, good stuff.

  • Agreed!

  • well i gotta say that this song has a very good tune and bass so i think that it just kinda lets ur relaxition out. i think that this song reprensents wat u think about the song. and everybody has there own appinyan and.......should be happy when they listen to it and just enjoy life while it lasts

  • I agree with everything you said but the way you spelled 'opinion' really bothers me for some reason

  • ...and the lack of spelling and grammar for the rest of the sentence.

  • my bro works for them hes so lucky

  • i might see your bro in afew weeks then, they are playing practically in my back yard on the 25th, and my crews opening for them :O

  • i dont care what anyone says..

I really like this songg !!

    :)

  • you shouldn't really care about what others think, unless what they say can contribute to your thought. nice comment anyways. this tune has a nice vibe to it, when i'm listen to it on my ipod I align my self with the beat and let go and see where the song will take me mentally. sweatshop union has to be my most favorite group of musicians ever. their music is just so well composed and the music just beholds something that most lack.

  • that song's sick!

  • All part of the resurgence of real hip-hop. Poorman's rap indeed!

  • Now this is a tuuuune :)

  • repping bc :) yeaaaah
