one of my best friends from college got me into sweat shop union. he had to quit college coz he got kicked out of home, and had to get some shitty job just to get by. he gave up on the future he wanted, but kept his spirit, and his love for REAL music. we've gone our separate ways in life, but i listen to this song every day, think of him, and hope that hes alright.

Rap is phylosophy, hip hop is party/fun music :) big difference.
Swollen Members does both great, has several great phylosophic songs, but also some great party songs.
Some songs are in the middle.
But yes, guys like these HAVE to get more attention, show the world HipHop/Rap aint as crappy as 50 Cent etc. are showing us :(

@SIGsogger thing is, they are completely UNKNOWN in europe. Noone knows them here, anyonei know who does know them, knows them thanks to me. Same in the US where they're quite unknown too, only country they are somewhat known is goddamn CANADA.
the more people download their music, the more fans they get, the more gigs they can do, the more money they can earn.
Even tho they own their own record company, they'd still earn more doing gigs then selling CD's.

exactly. Real lyrics with a Real meaning, something you have to open up your mind to. Not just pretend to embrace and understand like most people do. I mean it's something you really have to relate to, something you find.

Great song, gotta love their optimistic stuff, like stolen memories, i've been down, this one reminds me of hit the wall, kinda funny how they can have such an optimistic outlook laced into the song with themes that suggest life is so cruel, good stuff.
