  • The same happened to my great grand father in 1938.

  • Didn't the FSB and the NKVD pre-date the KGB ? Not their successor.

  • CCCP

  • This is good place to start - A brilliant interview with one of the greatest researchers ever, Professor Antony Sutton, the author of Wall Street and the Bolshevik Revolution and Wall Street and The Rise of Hitler, where he showes how bankers, businessmen and politicans in the west supported and financed both the communist and the nazis, all according to their hegelian dialectic plan for world control. PLEASE WATCH Antony Sutton - Wall Street & Bolshevik Revolution Part 1.flv .

  • Communism is hated as much (probably even more so) as fascism. TCCtV ... the allies had russia on its side to defeat hitler. After the war ... ? read Churchill and Roosevelt ... they despised the USSR, but allowed the bastards to occupy the Baltics and others. Why did the Cold War exist, if it wasn't for the total mistrust between east and west. TCCTV ... the Baltics were always Western Europe until ruSSian occupation. Ex-KGB putin will never allow russians to be brought forward for war crimes.

  • It's proof of how horrible Hitler was that we Americans considered Josef Stalin as "Our Gallant Soviet Ally"! Had there been no Hitler we would have recognized the evil of Stalinism a lot sooner. I actually believe it would have been worse to live as a Soviet citizen under Stalin than it would have been to be a German Citizen under Hitler. Stalin's terror against his own people was almost worse than any terror Hitler brought to average German citizen, by far...

  • Ok i have a question.

I live in Argentina. I have seen that the point of this video is that people realizes the evils of comunisim. To make communist as hated as the Fascists. Why? becouse they, we can see in this video, kidnapped people at 2 clock and killed them with no official reasons or trial. "The communist killed them" As the host says.

    Continues in the next comment

  • I met and talked with a man who narrowly escaped being sent to gulag, a sympathetic KGB officer "left the door unlocked" and he defected to West Germany

  • This is a sad chapter in humanity.

  • stalin was completely nuts.

  • The reds have been here a long time, and are running the show now. Our constitution is quickly becoming their toilet paper - our republic and our flag are their doormat to wipe their bloody feet upon. Wake up people, you are being lied to by those who claim to represent you - their actions speak louder than their words. They are eating your freedom and liberty. Get off of your lazy asses and do something - educate yourself, stand up against the bastards before it is too late.

  • the North K. on average are smaller than the S. K. They are so malnourished. I think if a prominent country declared war on NK gov't they would have a following from the citizens. Maybe not all, but some, due to fear of familial brutality

  • omg this is a prelude to the camps in america,

    ill get my say in,

obama you are a new stalin

  • Thanks for a very interesting posting.I think it's a tragedy that the history of Stalins concentration camps have been hushed up.They should be taught about in school like the nazi holocaust is.

I was watching bbc news last week and there was a piece about how Stalin now is being taught of as a great statesman and patriot in Russian schools.Which in my opinion is obscene

  • I dont think its that bad how you say it is in Russa now. You can see reports on Russia Today RT news about Stalins death camps. The government in Russia still has alot of power controling the media and they let a Russian media talk about the Gulags, im sure all Russians know about their history well.

  • We were taught about this when I was in school but history books were revised in MANY ways since I was in school.

  • His last words were a warning and a prediction: "...we're not immune to all those things."

  • i think America/Western World has been and still is afraid to confront Soviet Union/Russia

  • Afraid of what???? As long as I remember the REDcommunist were the ones turning around their ships during the Cuban crisis in the 60`s, soooo who was afraid, the RED COMMUNIST SCUM, they run like the cowards they are, COMMUNISM ARE ONLY BRAVE WHEN THEY ARE KILLING INNOCENT POOR PEOPLE like they did in URSS, Eastern europe, China, Viet Nam,Korea, CUBA, the list has no end.

  • They don't tell you the truth. The Soviets turned ships around because they got what they wanted. US deployed nukes in Turkey, right on USSRs border so to say. Soviets found out and matched it with a Cuban deployment. US learned about it and went ballistic and completely unreasonable about it. In reality, in order to resolve, USG signed a secret agreement where both countries were obliged to remove their respective nukes. It's declassified now, and Encarta,.. would say that US removed nukes too.

  • exactly! Because West often uses same communist tactics. We see that in controling masses ,propoganda, brainwashing, wars....

  • The purpose of the Foundation for the Investigation of Communist Crimes is to diffuse knowledge and increase international understanding of the crimes against humanity committed by violent communist regimes across the globe in different times. The goal of the Foundation is to dismiss once and for all a shockingly common and ubiquitous illusion that any semi-good violent regimes yet based on the violation of human rights, torture and constant threat on life ever existed or could exist.

  • The Soviets invaded what is now N.Korea at the end of World War II. So you can thank Stalin and Communism for N.Korea and the gulags and millions of deaths that have come along with them and starvation.

  • i am not conservative.

    progressive social policies for life

  • Then you should love a good gulag

  • All these efforts will be meaningless unless Russia allows its citizens to be tried for crimes during World War II, the 50years of Soviet occupation of Eastern Europe.

The Israelis have been able to successfully bring justice to the perpetrators of the holocaust based on the country.

Russia continues to deny the extradition of Andrei Lugovoy to the UK for questioning in connection with the Litvenenko poisoning. What do you expect? Russia has nothing to fear.

  • Excellent point.

Germany de-Nazified after WW2, & made fascism repugnant to the world; but this was never done with the Communism, an identical form of dictatorship. Yeltsin could have done so at the start, and Putin never would have gained power; the world lost the chance to make Communism as hated as Nazism.

Government schooling, leftist professors and media pretend there is a magical difference between the 2 names of dictatorships, but both are genocidal thugs behind the rhetoric.

  • @TCCTV Well said and unfortunately with time, lies become truth and distasteful details gets lost.

  • @TCCTV Yes, we never did have Nuremberg style trials against the entire Bolshevik apparatus.

  • @TCCTV The only difference being who won at Stalingrad. Before de-communification, one would have to divide Russia into zones of occupation, and before that, one would have to take it.

  • @montfaucon1916 Lugovoy is an hero

  • astonishing that this man is 'an advocate for free market trade' in light of his assumed anti-socialist stance. can he not see the dialectic of capitalism/communism and how the american people laboured innocently to pay for the bolstering of that which cannot work - communism. yet, the western economic system IS socialist to the core - as was maynard keynes who facilitated it.

  • my great grandfather was here too, He was a shoemaker, he helped to the Serb partisans, later the partisans his wife, and daughter, and wanted to kill him cause he was Hungarian(Hungary was an ally of Germany). The Soviet troops saved him cause they said do not waste the good work power, and they moved him to Siberia.

  • Witold Kiezun, 'Wypad' , was a member of the special operations group during the occupation and fought in the Uprising with 'Harnas' a special operations platoon of 'Gustav-Harnas' battalion in the Wola and City Centre districts. He participated in the capture of the Central Post Office, Holy Cross Church, and the Police Headquarters. For his bravery, he received a Cross of Valour and an Order of Virtuti Military presented personally by Home Army commander Gen. 'Bor' Komorowski.

  • "Crime Krasnowodsk, probably the largest factory of death among Soviet gułag, has so far passed unnoticed, just like all the other great crimes of communism, blurred in memory, and are not even any form of moral satisfaction" /Witold Kieżun, ps. Wypad/

  • Thank you for calling attention to this, we must remember the past and educate the young to avoid it.

If you Google "gulag Krasnowodsk" some pages turn up.

Wypad/

  • On May 21, 1945, a unit of the Home Army (Armia Krajowa, AK), led by Colonel Edward Wasilewski, attacked a NKVD camp located in Rembertów on the eastern outskirts of Warsaw. The Soviets kept there hundreds of Poles, members of the Home Army, whom they were systematically deporting to Siberia. However, this action of the pro-independence Polish resistance freed all Polish political prisoners from the camp.

  • Thanks for putting Krasnowodsk on my radar screen !!

  • the russian communists murdered 40 million of their own citizens, 2-3 million Poles, 400 thousand Czechoslovaks, 1 million Romanians and many Hungarians, Bulgarians etc.

    my both granfathers included

  • zabudol si na 7 milionov Ukrajincov

  • Translation: "You forgot the 7 million Ukrainians."

Thank you for helping us remember, the attrocities of the Soviet Communist regime were horrendous.

Mr. Utley recounted his father's life and the dictatorship which murdered his father; but he didn't have time in this show to discuss much more. Perhaps we will do a more broad look at the genocide of the Soviet empire in a future show.

    Thank you.

  • I agree.

  • My grandfather also.

  • There were 36 million people killed in gulag in 1918-1991. Even in 90ies! This, is the worse crime ever done inhuman history. By communists, by Stalin. So now, Whos the bad guy now? Nazis killed 6mil yews, communists 36million people, mogols, tartars, chechenyans and many more. I say, I better be a Nazi than a communist and I did not know this before I saw this and now I know what is the ewilness on earth. Communism is the most fuking stupid thing on earth and communists must be destroyed!

  • The idea that Lenin was somehow, on the basis of morality, a superior man/dictator/god-amongst versus Stalin is not supported by the facts.

Likewise, it's disgusting how Trotsky, Lenin's butcher, is consistently seen as the "moral" side of the communist scheme and structure, largely due to worshipful neocons/Zionists in our own government that are true believers in "forever revolution", aka "global democracy".

  • CCCP

nazi is only a lightly disgused fools party. DAP

is a slander in my mind.

    workers run the world

  • ... in 1936, during the comunist goverment. More than 10.000 people were killed only for their faith, children of 14 years old inclusive. In Spain we proclaim: "SPANISH PEOPLE, FORGIVE THEM, BUT DON'T FORGET"

  • Funny how lots of Latin American countries now are going towards socialism like Venezuela, Paraguay, Bolivia for example. They're following the example of Fidel Castro.

  • The spanish catholic people suffered one of the biggest anti - christian genocide

  • in Czechoslovakia all protestant priests were executed by the russian communists

everyone who had an education from an acadamy/university who were not part of the communist party were executed

everyone who fought in ww1 and ww2 were executed unless they joined the communist party

everyone who went to church "too many times" were executed for espionage

everyone who wrote a single negative letter or a line in a book about communism were executed

  • Communism is evil.Communism has to be crushed until it ceases to exist.Communism has killed more than 100 million people. Communists continue invading our country. Communists killed our sailors 6 years ago. Communism=AXIS OF EVIL!!!!

  • The REAL Azis of Evil consists of China, North Korea, Vietnam, Cuba and Laos.

  • I agree, Cuba has also been destroyed by communism.

  • As many innocents were killed during the russian Holodomor (Ukrainian: Голодомор) as through the nazi Holocaust(4.5 to 5 million in the Encyclopedia Britannica).

But the same poeple are still at power.

In the fascist Putin`s opinion the Soviet Union's collapse was the "biggest geopolitical catastrophe of the century."

They killed millions of people and nobody ever punished them and you are comparing this to the us-stop dreaming!!

  • "As many innocents were killed during the russian Holodomor as through the nazi Holocaust."

Some holocausts ("THE" HOLOCAUST) are more equal than others.

What we have with The Holocaust Industry is an example of assumed and promoted ethnic supremacy while whining constantly, in the same stream of thought, about how their group was victimized by the same assumptions, within and without.

    Marxism/Communism/racism=Zionism.

  • Nazism is SOCIALISM. Either way you look at it, all these systems are totalitarian.

  • Correct!

Regardless of the names of the phony philosophies & slogans of totalitarian regimes (Communism, Stalinism, Marxism, Fascism, Nazism, Maoism, Divine right of kings, and thousands of years of similar tyrants & slogans) the result is always the same: dictatorship & death. Never be fooled by the names and philosophies or how much they say they are on the side of the "worker" or against the "rich"; death and dictatorship is the same no matter how much they try to disguise it.

  • Rather like the Roosevelt administration.

  • I wish eastern Poles that were sent there by "Stalin" 1.7 million in 1940 women/children sent to slave and die were mentioned.

  • Good point. This show is the personal story of Mr. Utley's father and related events and cannot begin to account for all the genocide of the Communists or even that committed just under Stalin. Such a task might take 10 or 100 shows! Perhaps we can do some future shows on the subject, thanks for your comment.

  • tcctv tnx for this clip

  • the world must know

  • You are right, and we must give real meaning to the words repeated after the Holocaust in Nazi Germany: "Never again". Horrifying concentration camps still exist in Communist China, North Korea and other countries. Prisoners in China are shot for organ harvesting. Perhaps half the world still lives under dictatorships.

We must say "Never again" and mean it this time--help free those suffering under dictatorships, and prevent dictators from gaining power anywhere else, such as in Venezuela.

  • Nostalgia for Stalinism is now returning to Russia with a vengeance.

  • Which for me suggests a nauseating sympathy with the perpetrators.

  • no doubt things are bad in russia but do these people have no memory

  • Thank you, for history. The world largest part elects blind - Stalins was a larger evil nothing Hitlers. The government of Russians and nation still does not regret its history and holds back facts. Germans were sorry opposite and regrets sins against humanity.

  • You are welcome, and you make an excellent point.

The world properly condemned the Nazis and Fascism, and museums and schools teach the horrors so we never again repeat it.

Yet the same was never done with Communism which is 100% identical to Fascism, so millions still ignorantly worship this form of bloody slavery.

Regardless of the name, slogans, flags, and phony 'philosophy', dictatorships are the same to the citizen facing the firing squad.

    Communism = Nazi = Death.

  • Interview needed with Aneta Naszynska from Poland for "A Forgotten Odyssey" The untold story of 1,7000,000 Poles deported to Siberia in 1940 and "The Other Truth" A film about the unknown side of Polish-Jewish relations. Produced by Jagna Wright and Aneta Naszynska, Least we Forget Production Ltd. Both in CD's and a story trying to be told.

    Carol, USA

  • the uk and us were scared to critisize because they were our allies its alleged that 1000s of brit pows disappeared into gulags

  • At 2:50 the host mentions that Odesa is Russia. Sorry, but Odesa was in the Ukrainian SSR at the time. Now it is in independent Ukraine, not Russia. The Gulag was only one aspect of Stalin's terror. The Ukrainian famine and the mass purges were another.

  • Excellent program. Thank you for running it.

  • GULAGU!
