Title is very misleading. Kodiak bears would kill a tiger with one swipe of the paw. and they outweigh the tiger by a long shot. tigers are quick but bears are bigger and more powerful therefore the kodiak would most likely win. bears are just as quick as tigers too. you don't see tigers fishing salmon from a river because they aren't fast enough unlike the bear.

Amazing Predator for sure, but a 1500 Pound Kodiak has no equal. There will always be smaller brown bears, sloth bears, sun bears, etc.. The Kodiak can crush the skull of a Buffalo with one swipe. I dont think the tiger even approach a Giant Bear

I have a hard time believing ONE tiger would take out a fully grown brown bear. Tigers are incredibly powerful, but how the hell would a tiger kill a bear? How could the tiger possibly get the bear's neck and hold the neck and suffocate it? There is no way in hell the tiger could hold that, the bear is just too strong and would throw it off. On the other hand, I can see the bear getting the tiger's neck in its jaws and holding on with a bear hug. It has the strength.

Mate, adult male tigers can hit OVER 700lbs, which means it can kill ANY black bear and alot of other varities, now against a 1000lb grizzly or a polar, eh, my money would be on the bear.

Tigers will hunt and kill all creatures no matter the size. The only thing they fear is the male lion but thankfully for the Tiger population their paths do not cross that often. Only in Zoos of course. And circuses.And sometimes in private game reserves owned by rich folk who match them against each other for sport!
