  • Sound!! Picture size!!! Hello? Fix your video.

  • this is coolness. I got to get it.

  • Hardware acceleration is bullshit. I can run purely software rendered games faster than the same thing in OpenGL. I know, I know, I should buy a new "graphics card" but who cares when I can get over 200 FPS in just software? I'll give you hardware acceleration- it's called a CPU!

  • if you can get over 200fps with software only, then you don't need hardware acceleration. obviously you either a) don't play demanding games, b) have a massively multicore cpu the likes of which i've never seen before, or c) are just trying to mess with the rest of us.

    good day to you.

  • How about

    d) My own damn hardware can handle games the same as any bullshit products they're trying to push on me and you shouldn't be so stupid as to pay for a version of what you already own so FUCK YOU CAPITALISM!

  • I'm assuming that the host machine would have to be Linux and not Windows, right?

    I was reading through your documentation and it calls for edits to the host machine with Linux commands.

    If this is not the case, can Windows be the host and how does the documentation reflect this?

  • Yeah it's basically Linux. No one has really worked on porting this to Windows. It's perfectly doable, though

  • Ouch! Oh well, I hope someone does. I'm not a coder, more like an end user. I'd really like to get this running on my linux distros in virtual environments. I've been wanting to test out some OpenGL stuff, but alas, I guess I'll have to wait...

  • i have a game of mercenaries 2 but the grapics has an error if i open the game

  • Nice, but did you ever hear of "fullscreen"? People use it to fill their video resolution with their screen instead of black bars.

  • It's the video encoding. The openGL app is going full screen

  • does this work on windows? >.>

  • Nope. Sorry. It could be made to work -- it's open source :)

  • "3d analyze" is a virtual graphic card emulator which runs high-spec games as titan Quest imortal thrones... which require a pixel shader 1.4 and external graphic card....

    game worked even when i did'nt have a external graphic card through 3d analyze...

    ihave 224 mb on-board graphic card though but wothout 3d analyze game didnt work.... its an emulatir ;p

  • ...This won't work under Cygwin, right?

    (need to virtualize Grim Fandango)

  • Can some one help me...while I was trying to look for a website, a little icon showed up on the bottom right corner of your screen. It said Your Virtual Graphics are running out and when I was playing a game on this computer it just went blue randomly it didnt say any words and it restarted itself...someone reply me of whats going on with my computer please!

  • thats called the blue screen of death... similar to the 3 rings of death on 360... its a problem with ur registry maybe

  • can i use this to run compiz in ubuntu 8.04 running under vmware fusion?

  • yeah whats the point if its not going to work with window's guests.

    and oh, i think i have the same monitor as you, samsung 193t

  • Indeed

  • For Linux and only OpenGL. No Direct3d... Me so so saad

  • for direct 3d is this

    mks.enable3d = TRUE

    vga.vramSize = 67108864

    vmmouse.present = FALSE

    only the first line if doesnt work the 3 lines im giong to do a tuto about this soon this lines goes into a tiny file into the virtual machine files that vmware created actually i think is the smalest one and diferent than the others you have to openit with notepad plusplus good luck

  • No sound on this movie?

    And yes, definitely makes a mess in pants over this.

  • *cremes pants*

    found this on linux wordpress

  • What is the spec of the machine you are running?

  • So when will something like this be done for Windows guests.

  • Excellent. The fellow who made this is about to make very very many people very very happy.

    Details. I need details. How does this work?

  • Amazing! Soon I will be able to play windows games in Xen with very high compatibility! Very nice.

    How well does VMGL perform? near native speed on Xen?

  • From the link: «VMGL is available for X11-based guest OS's: Linux, FreeBSD and OpenSolaris.»
