this is a steinberger spirit model. It had frets but it was defretted and those lines are where the frets were.

how do you like that Steinberger? What are the tonal qualities? a lot of High/Mid punch?Active pickups?

If you have ever listenend to Rush does it sound like Geddy's

i really like it, it is my first fretless bass. it is not an active bass and would say it is more on the bassy side and not too much high mid punch, especially because it is fretless and has flat wound strings. i have listened to some rush and would say it doesnt really sound like Geddys, but i think a fretted one with round wounds would give you a much different sound, closer to Geddys. hope that helps
