  • It touched my heart to see Woody playing with Sonny Terry and Brownie McGee. I had the pleasure of seeing them perform many times when I was 15 (back in 1963) at the Ashgrove in LA. And to top it off, two years later I was honored to have lunch in Hollywood at a small corner cafe with Brownie while on my lunch break. I was a delivery truck driver at that time and just happened to be in that corner cafe when Brownie came in and I offered him a place to sit. He accepted and I was thrilled.

  • Woody was certaimly a socialist, and even more a man of feeling and honor. The heart of America wasn't JP Morgan, it was people like Mr Guthrie who lived, and lived and made the backbone of this country!
