This is an excellent remake, but my only gripe is that when you press Alt + Enter, it does not support full screen. Only 3 resolutions in windowed mode :(
Strangely, unlike the SNES version, I found CloudMan to be the easiest to begin with. Also, how'd you get Rush Jet, without the T. Bolt to power the elevators in JunkMan's stage?
Not that a jump like that couldn't be Rush Coiled, but IIRC, the elevator directly blocks the upgrade...
I downloaded this from some link by mega man perfect memories. Since the text is all japanes, I can't figure out the controls or how to use the editing utuilities and tools. I'm amazed nonetheless of someone actually making an 8 bit rendition of MM7.
Guess they realized their manga elements weren't doing so well and came back to 8 bit for #9. There was stuff about the manga I *HATED* but some I liked. Keep it at its roots or evolve it with the longtime crowd-not make it cute'n'gay.
Hmm. Well, I downloaded this game, and Cloud Man's stage looks almost completely different.
For one, the giant buildings in the background were shrunken a lot. Secondly, the fans were changed from green and orange to white and blue. Third, the fans are behind everything now. Fourth, a lot of the platforms look different. Fifth, the screen gets darker when you shoot a Weather Maker with the Rock Buster.
I still prefer the Super Famicom/SNES version to tell the truth.
And I played this with Joy-to-Key.
It's a good conversion though. Props to the fact that I can access all 8 bosses off the bat.
So they took out the Rush Search and the Shop. MAYBE a few redesigns (like the bosses not sucking once you use the right weapon). Just as well, two stages that I won't miss either.
My preference is for the official game. Don't know what it is exactly...
It's released already and mega man 8 is being made into 8-bit currently(it will take a long time before that will be released). I can't post a link because youtube won't allow it, but try this: write on google: "Rockman 7 8-bit", and choose "Indiegames" which should be the third option.

Wanted NES hacks:
Mega Man 7, 8, and 9 in 8-Bit.....Mega Man 10 is tempting...

Should have taken him out with the Danger Wrap. That makes this fight brokenly easy. Like, Toad Man easy.

This is... a real game?! The music sounds authentic, and not like those cruddy conversions.

lol. i quit snes version because of this.

I agree with you. But I beat on the SNES
version, so yet, I still enjoyed it. But I like
to play on 8-bit version, because that is fun
to play on the new NES adventure!
