I swear if i see another youtube video of somebody spinning their box when I type Linux into the search bar!!!.... show me something different, I already know about the box thing! how about showing off XBMC for Linux, Its a multimedia center ported from the xbox, Trust me it's great!..youtube,music,shout cast,class visualizations... Trust me its far better than a box!

What's Compiz Fusion and Emerald? I'm sorry, but I'm noob with linux, do the standard drivers for windows work with linux?

why do you want to use windows drivers on linux?

I don't intend to use windows drivers on linux, but I wanted to use stuff like my webcam and xbox controller receiver and both of them have Vista software, but ElkaiservxPower says Ubuntu should recognize it, so I don't think there should be any problems.

Sorry I don't know about xbox controller as I don't have one. Anyway you can try use Ubuntu 8.04 when it comes out in April 24, and see how you like it

Compiz Fusion is an application of desktop effects in linux and Emerald the windows decorator

the windows drivers in linux don't work, but linux recognizes your hardware perfect in the main.

Ubuntu have in his repositories, drivers in order that your video card work 100%

I recommend that you should wait until April 24 that launch the final release of Ubuntu Hardy Heron 8.04

You can try Ubuntu even like live CD, and if does not detect some hardware, sure that searching in the forums of ubuntu obtains the solution

Compiz Fusion and Emerald are made to give linux more eye candy.

most people dont need drivers in linux besides one for their video card, but installing them is a piece of cake.

get linux!
