  • the most amazing part 5:00

  • pandas suck. I don't know why people rave about them in MOP

  • The music from 5:00 onward is so the music from one of Akira Kurosawa's samurai movies. It is either in the film or in the menu to the film but I know because I have that film at home.

  • i Remember when i was a noob, and finally got a chance to play ulduar :) i remember 5:00 , when i listened to it right now, i felt this cold chill in my body and i felt something in my heart, i said : " it will never be the same, wotlk gave me my best memories and best year" i hope mists of pandaria will be the same, because cata ruined everything :(

  • the blizzard onhold music!

  • Camping TLPD way to much and this music is stuck in my head but i love it!

  • damn TLPD...

  • my fav part is just before 5:00

  • Sons of Hodir dailies ftw

  • I loved storm peaks.

  • i agree with the two top comments about 5:00 so many musically inclined peoples are listening to WoW music

  • 5:00 God I have to cry..Fuckin remembers..When I first time started at Borean Tundra, exploring Howling Fjord and other countries, killing Vrykuls, dragons and iron dwarves..it never will be same...

  • 3:50 best part starts.

  • @Warferno /sign

  • 3:55 where the changeover occurs is just beautiful.

  • Holy crap hearing this music and seeing the picture of Storm Peaks made me remember that moment when my warrior first dinged 80. I remember lining up my camera, turning on fraps, then turning in the quest to that dwarf guy in the cave or whatever. It's been a while, but this song immediately invoked that memory.

  • 3:29 is the best!

  • Listening to this allows me to feel the solitude that i long for, that same solitude i felt in the many hours of trying to camp the Proto Drake, but to no avail.

  • how can anyone dislike this music....

  • Wanted to introduce my friends to wow because of the way the game is put together with the music, quests and stories...but Im not sure if I should since they increased the XP gain when levelling up. My fear is that we play and we level up so fast we just end up skipping a lot of content. I mean if we stayed in certain areas to do all the quests the game would end up being easy. I miss when levelling was not such a rush to get to 85 :(

  • that was much fun when alliance and horde waited at the entrance of ulduar and killing eachother :D

  • @19Matze87 Or even more fun, gank the TLPD campers. >:D Oh, I remember the rage... Killing some random ally, and flying away on the drake they tried to get. :D:D

"omg dood u r fuking retard"

  • 0:00 -> 1:25: Amazing building up

  • 5:02 reminds me of camping for that god damn proto.

  • only thing that keeps me alive when i camp for time lost shame that cata fucked up wow so badly...dalaran is a ghosttown just like Shattrath city was in beginning of wotlk:<

  • getting goosebumps at 4:00

  • 5:02 best part... remember it while questing at sons of hodir

  • the best part begins at 3:29

  • 5:02 = Epic

  • The Storm Peaks = Jötunheimr

  • 2 people, 2 people simply don't have music sense.

  • 5:06 is the best

  • this music made it worth while to farm the time lost proto drak <3 i just love the music

  • My favorite part 5:06, so many nights farming here. Beautiful music.

  • I miss WOTLK :(

  • @BloodrazorMusic I quit when Cata came out and I don't want to go back to wow, although I do miss it. I am afraid Cata will wreck my opinion on Wow. I just wish it was still WotLK :(

  • @Storiann I feel the same way & I did the same thing

  • @Storiann thats pretty much the same thing everyone said about wotlk when they "missed BC" and the same thing everyone said about BC when they "missed classic" -_- cata is not making the game bad, its just a sense of nostalgia. I mean once the next expansion comes out you guys are gonna be saying you miss cata and that the new expansion sucks

  • So evocative, it's unbelievable.

  • imagine trying to get around this place with no flying mount

  • @Oromis0011 I think that would be fun~!

  • ive never said anything about people disliking videos, but when i got to 4:18 and noticed there was a dislike, i wanted to kill that person.

  • My favourite zone with my favourite raid instance and my favourite music. It's just brilliant.

  • 4:50 Remindes me a theme from Raddat town from game SUIKODENN II

    Anyone agree with me?

    Té +

  • the part from 3:29 is absolutely amazing... it reminds me raiding ulduar at nights with my guild.. (cuz this is night music right :) ) just standing at meeting stone, summoning people, some duels, and this beautiful music... brings tear to eyes :)

  • If you've ever called Blizz technical support... 4:50 should be stuck in your head by now.

  • Staying up past 3:00am was well worth it to hear this music playing, I think I'm one of the few that actually really enjoyed WotLK, gonna miss it...

  • @FootballPro97 no you're not, i miss wotlk but that doesn't mean i dont like cata

  • This and wintergrasp's theme are my favorite ones from WOTLK

  • The most amazing part, for me is 5:00

  • @shallowlake

That was exactly the part I was looking for ty very much :3

  • beautiful

  • after camping the time lost proto drake for so long, as i stared at this picture....i coulda sworn a time lost proto drake flew across the screen, and so i logged back into WoW aaaaaaaaaand i found a certain rare...........vyragosa again god damnit!!!!

  • @gueren717 Ive had vyra 2x:( I think TLPD has been removed now as a mount, some time before cata- it may appear but no mount will drop off of it

    shame i know

  • @achillessniper it stills drops mount they just changed the 6hour spawn timer or how long it was

  • Best part I think is 1:30 till 3:29 it must be this SP_GeneralWalkADark_Uni01.

  • Yeah every time i hear 4:00 i think of a leader of a charge group reminding his men what they are fighting for! so epic. =)

  • Storm Peaks is probably the most epic zones in WoW since vanilla. Ulduar was an epic instance with epic background story.

  • I remember listening to this music while camping for the Time-Lost Proto, all that waiting made Storm Peaks my favorite zone :)

  • <3 the part from 4:50 to 5:48 ...

  • 3:30 is where the good part begins... <.< not 4:00

  • at 1:55 it reminds me to Zangarmarsh.

  • Storm Peaks is my absolute favorite zone music. I'd go to sleep listening to it. I miss wow. I seriously can't wait until Cata is here, I'll probably start playing again then. :\

  • @thelovethelight I DO go to sleep to it >_> Right now I'm relaxing, listening to it before I go to sleep because I lost my mp3 player (difficult for me to go to sleep to silence).

  • @thelovethelight Left at other house*

  • il love the storm peak with ulduar !

  • Damnit, I can't stand it! I've never been to storm peaks before so this music is fresh to me without attachment. Now I've attached it to story concepts that have nothing to do with WOW and they'll stay that way! lol!

  • In the tags it says Stork Peaks ;)

  • Wait... I Remember this music...

    Doing Quest in the Mountains...

  • somebody noticed that the part which begins at 4:50 is the best?

  • I envy thoose with the power to write such lovely music!

  • I had skipped the Sons of Hodir quest chain for awhile until I heard of its uber enchants (shoulders, I think). I was still reluctant to go through the quest chain, but after listening to the music of this place it really grew on me. And of course I still spend my time hunting the Proto Drake mount there, so I get to listen to the music more :D

  • I had the quest to get the tools from the mine field and I saw that goblin said something like "Are you finally going to get me out of here? No, just getting the tools. /sigh" and this was playing. Poor goblin D;

  • I know people that absolutely HATE this game ... yet they listen to the music all day long becouse it's so epic

  • @McBlemmen The visuals and music are pretty top notch. Too bad the gameplay is designed with the monthly fees as the first priority.

  • I remember questing here on my first 80. I would only quest at night because my server is full of Horde. I love most of the quest here, but the music always added a nice touch to the storyline of the area. 5:00-6:40 stands out to me the most, but the whole thing is made of epicness. :O

  • 1 person missed the like button :(

  • I don't understand how this amazing soundtrack have 1 dislike

  • ahhh...brings back memories...the first time i stepped foot in storm peaks...it is just such nice music, blizzard did really well with all northrend music imo, icecrowns drums sound amazing!

  • This makes me think about all the nights i spent looking for the time lost proto drake. Really the only thing i got out of getting that drake, was time lost.

  • @RingxWorld I see what you did thar

  • I personally like 5:00 in addition to 4:00

  • clearly the best soundtrack in wow... it's amazing...

  • I remember leveling here one night. It was 8am, totally dark in my room and the part from 4.00 kicks in. Never felt more peaceful really :)

  • herbs farming music :D

  • Storm Peaks easily takes the prize for best soundtrack. Simply amazing, the French Horn solo is captivating. If only Blizzard had this quality of music composition for everywhere else...

  • This song made me go back to WoW after 2,5 years break. And I dont regret, leveling in Northend is awesome and, despite what all those hardcore nerds say, the game is still great even for adult casuals!

  • 3:29 section always makes me drop a tear

the french horn solo is just pure brilliance

  • I ditched the dungeon finder once just so I could keep listening to this.

  • For sure itsall about the the mix of visual... the concept of the adventure, the high level creatures around, the heavenly air around the Giant races and its gigantic structures and the feeling about that barbaric Vrykul dwlling there, and... TimLost-Proto-Drake, for sure the one of the most incredible places in all World of Warcraft. All of it powered by that sound, makes de spirit of Storm Peaks. Pure Awesomeness

  • See... it never plays this theme or the day one for me when I'm in Storm Peaks. I had heard SP music was awesome, but was disappointed because all I personally hear when I'm there is random flute music. No orchestra, no operatic vocals, nothing. Just a flute.

...so I found myself using a soundtrack add-on and putting an alternative song in its place when I'm there. >.>

  • flute plays in vrykul villages

  • That's probably because you just sat around in the Goblin town.

  • 4:52 reminds me of the questline with Thorim when he tells you aboutz his dead wife. -saaadfaaace-

    Love the music tho.

  • Comment removed

  • This is .. beautiful.

  • Youre right...these music just force me to look at the horizon where the mountains blends with the skies......its so touching

  • As many people have said below, I adore the part from 4:00. It has a sense of... loss yet it sounds so peaceful. Maybe it reflects on both the stunning environment and the events happening there?

  • @Rrayray10101 i actuarly see its perfect :D

  • @Rrayray10101

Somehow this bit makes me think of peace in death, as you do not have to witness all that you love hopelessly falling apart.

  • 5:05 is beautifull, whenever this part comes I can't help but stop questing for a second and just look at the environment.

  • 4:57 seconds is just so...beautiful. I get goosebumps evertime i hear it, it nearly makes me cry. Everytime i go past stormpeaks, i reset the music just to hear this part, haha!

  • @dozzaskebab

    agreed.

i remember arriving for HOL heroic once when this part was just kicking in and i thought it was a perfect prelude to entering the instance.

so long as blizzard get the environment - music right again in cataclysm they really can't do much wrong.

  • Pretty much, i love minor sounding music, and there will probably be a lot of that in Cataclysm, yay!

  • yay

  • powerful brass section the music blizzard creates is beautiful and great strings too especially harp

  • agree tottaly with zeafiros

  • this track is amazing! especially in part 4:00 till 4:50 is incrdible

gratz to those who write those beautiful thigs

  • @zeafiros I agree with you, 4:00 to 4:50 is the best part of the composition.

  • @zeafiros Russel Brower is your Hero <3

  • is this track included on the CD soundtrack? if so which song is it?

  • Mountains of Thunder is the track that has most of the Storm Peaks music into one song. listen to 2:45 of that song and you will cry, it is so beautiful!

  • I'm a big fan of 4:52

  • man i miss WoW all i remember is questing and raiding with my buddies but its all gone now until i come back

  • even though i have nothing to be upset about this music makes me sad xD

  • This might be beautifull, but it's covered with- NEED MORE MANA!!! CANT DO THAT!! *PEW*PEW*BOOM*SQUEEEEEEL!!

In the end, you will turn off the wow-sound

  • You can minimize sound effects to 0% and let only music. Like that, you won't hear the "need more mana" things and u will be able to enjoy such beautiful music scenes :D

One of Blizzard's best, especially the daytime version. Good job for making this !

  • Comment removed

  • its like the daytime one but more calmer

  • lol, this is great. i needed like, white noise so i could focus on hw, and i got so used to tuning out this music and dalaran music as well.

i'm so much happier now that i quit, but this music will always have its uses :)

  • omg 4.15 is amazing

  • This music will put you to sleep.... in a good way :D

  • STORM PEAKSSSSS! = D

  • 5:00 i was trying to login to listen that music but the crappy servers are offline

  • wow with music is so awsome..i wish i didnt have friend on vent that wanna talk all time so i could play wow with music.... damn missed the first lvls when i was alone in ashenvale...awsome music there too

  • 08:45 AWSOME

  • so you like listening to silence lol

  • No one likes 4:50 ???? I love it :S

  • what? This is the best part. simply legendary

  • best notes blizzard ever composed

  • This music is among the best video game epic tunes every wrought. Morrowind, Fable, WotLK. Great stuff!

  • 3:29 - 7:53 are very nice.

  • 4:50 is outstanding.

  • 3:56

Epic. Cannot be described with words, it's hard to hold a tear back.

  • God....4:00 is so fantastic...

  • 4:00 !

  • 1:00 is incredible!

  • 3:30 THUNDERFALL!!

  • is this even different at night?

  • NeatHunter, the music is very different from night to day. TimmyBehh, please don't spread false information. :'] Thanks.

  • It's essentially the same as daytime, score-wise, but part-wise it has virtually little to no upper woodwind instrumentation to make it sound more, well, darker, since it is nighttime.

  • 3:30 favorite music in the whole WotLK expansion, perhaps even the whole game. Both the Day and Night versions: SP_GenericWalkB_Night02.mp3, SP_GenericWalkB_Day02.mp3

  • I like the night version better cause they replaced the chanting with an instrument.

  • 4:50 mysterious Legacy of thunder.

  • That bit is so key to the song's diversity and is essential in creating a sense of enpowerment.

  • I love the bit at 7:14. I do wish Blizz would put together some sort of special soundtrack to make tunes like these available to everyone. Ty for posting!

  • Northrend only has wonderful music, very much better than in BC and this one is absoloutly the most beautiful.

  • I loved Pre tbc music, I loved TBC music and I loved WoTLK music. Blizzards composers are amazing.

  • A great piece of musical art!

  • 4:50 is when it becomes the most beautiful, though. It reminds me of LOTR.

  • i agree with you in that it is beatiful from 4:50 to 5:50 but the coolest between that is 5:02 to 5:19 is the best so when i am in storm peaks and hear the music i always stop and listen to it :D

  • At 4:00 this song becomes so beautiful I can hardly stand it.

  • Exactly at 4:00.

I understand what you mean entirely.

Ive been kicked by three HoL groups, cuz I just sit there waiting for this part. Brings a tear to my eye.

  • i didnt notice that the song is different at night 0_0

  • WoW is a great game and has a lot of great soundtracks but this is my favourite WoW soundtrack ty for posting too :)

  • I do not play this game anymore.. but this is my favorite music in the whole game... esp. at 4:30 ty for posting.
