his character didnt kind of remind you of deniro character from mean streets, i mean he was the young, handsome ladies man but also kinda stupid, he had people looking out for him, they look so much alike its creepy

I love Joe Pantoliano in this movie. He's so much better than his character Ralph in the Sopranos. His acting is really intense in this scene and others. Like here, for example; He's trying everything to figure out where the money is: he accuses Violet and she slaps him. He doesn't react. I love how he still manages to keep calm and convince himself that Johnny is conning him. It's a great movie and I love it.
