Oops, I erased someone's comment asking if this was my first baby and if I would recommend homebirth.
Yes, it was our first baby. What a miracle!
Yes, I recomend homebirth if you have a healthy normal pregnancy, if you're willing to do the research and preparation, and if you + partner are brave and adventurous! :) Most people don't have their first birth at home, but we felt comfortable once we learned how safe homebirths are. Also key was practicing self-hypnosis (deep relaxation) and prayer.
Thank you so much for posting this video, I'm just beginning to learn about hypnobirthing with our first, and this is very encouraging.. thank you again.
great video.... I was hoping to have a hombirth VBAC but my midwife group only do VBACS in hospital. although thistime I have hired a doula.
LOL I though it was so funny that the other person was just sitting in the other room knitting away lol.... I would have been there not able to take myself away from a great miracle
I posted but I don't know where it went? We are from the United States, Wisconsin infact. A lady that was in the hospital where I worked had four Irish grandchildren and Rafe was one of the names and I remembered it and loved it. He is such a good man and loving Father. Also soon Happy Birthday to your Rafe!!
Inspiring! I cried tears of joy with you. And it was delightful to hear some Sara Groves in the middle. She's my favorite songwrighter. I'm having my sixth in May. My first hypnobirth. Does it really work?
Yes it really works! We practiced every night for about two months leading up to our birth. It helps to have a key word to train your body to respond to like "peace". If you read the book "Hypnobirthing" it explains how you can train body on a subconscious level to relax your insides. This also helps with sleep, stress relief and remembering deep breathing throughout the day.
Watching your video made me happy and feel at peace. I feel a lot of methods of childbirth make a mother frigtened because they associate it with the pain however this method is very appealing to me. I will definatley use it next time I have a little one. Thank you and congrats.
Thanks for sharing this nice video, really help me through this waiting time, my due date was yesterday and every single second makes me more nervous. What an adorable baby you have!
wow... he is gorgeous. congratulations on the addition to the family! i'm awaiting my own little miracle to arrive; he'll be with us in the next 8 weeks! :D this just makes me look forward to my waterbirth even more. x Thank you for sharing. <3 x

My first son is named Rafe, I love that name and it still is not used alot. He is now 35 years old!

Fun coincedence! Are you from England or Australia? Rafe seems more common there, the English pronuncation for Ralph and all.
