@kaosgoblin obviously you do not understand argento's work at all! his movies dont have to make sense and the acting...well the acting does suck but it doesnt matter. suspiria is a classic because of how beautifully magnificant the gore is and how unique and elaborant the deaths are. it's art at its most disturbing element. and you're calling this crap while there's other shit-tastic horror movies out there....

@vanitybliss I will absolutely agree that there are so many shit-tastic horror movies. However, I had so many people go on and on about Suspiria being amazing. When I sat down and watched it I started laughing at how everyone made decisions as if they had suffered major head trauma. It was psychologically drab, the plot was worse than most horror movies Ive seen (at least the rest of them make some sense), and the death scenes were silly, amateur and meaningless. I laughed till the last shot.

@gearboy12550 The film was very controversal at the time due to how the way the movie was made and because of it's content. The director was arrested on charges of obscenity. It was banned due to gore, sexual violence, and because six animals that were used during the movie were actually killed on film as part of the storyline. They filmed in the Amazon. The human sacrifice scenes looked so real that director was put in custody for murder until he could prove that all the actors were alive.
