The scene from 2:14 to 3:28 is so brilliantly written. Neither of them either says anything even remotely resembling the phrase "kill him," yet they're no question what they're talking about. The language is so civil and level-headed they might just as easily be conducting a business meeting.

Swinton was evidently the second best. Blanchett, however, played a man—not only played a man, but played it extremely well—and practically transformed herself both physically and verbally, as well as mastered Dylan's mannerisms. She was clearly robbed. I think this was the biggest upset at the Oscars in a while. In my opinion of course.
