there was a time when my wife really fucked up and got herself in a bad situation...people were making threats to her and my child...I went to the police and they blew me off...then I went to the gun store...thank God they have instant checks and you can walk in and walk out with a gun...which is what I did and then I knew I was not powerless...I could defend my family if necessary...turned out I did not have to but no thanks to the police.

I was working in a gun store during the period leading up to the LA riots, and for about 6 months afterward. Do you know who bitched the most about that asinine 14 day waiting period? FUCKS LIKE BILL MAHER AND THESE OTHER LIBERAL DOUCHEBAGS!!! What really sucks about all of this is that the spike in gun-crime stats that were used to justify the passage of the Brady Bill were a direct result of the FBI and BATF allowing people with known drug-dealing associations to buy weapons legally!

I am far left wing and I am fervently against 99.9% of the gun laws democrats propose. In my opinion being left wing is about supporting and defending the rights of middle class workers. Taking away the right to bear arms from civilians weakens the middle class and makes them more vulnerable to abuse. I don't know why anyone bothers going on any of Maher's shows. He has his point of view and will make jokes or talk over anyone who comes up with a rational thought out response. More guns less crime and the stats back that up, but most liberals just ignore those findings.
