Hey, Does anyone has songs of Sajjad ALi 1987 (T-Series). That is the very best I have heard of him singing Hindi Songs. It brings tears to my eyes just hearing some songs, sung sometimes even better than the original version by Mohd Rafi or Kishore.
Very good pereformance .Burray ghulam ali Is Unforget able artist From generation to generation .Sajjad ali has a full control on clasical raggs .Some clip has Command performance .Bhai bhi many thanks to bring up this Valued upload Again many thanks .Sajjid is full of Talents !
Undoubdtedly he is a very good singer. If he has chosen to sing more of the hip hop style I am sure he would do equally well there too. A good singer can sing any thing well. But if he had stuck with the classical style then he would have become "Ustad" for sure by now.
Ja Rey is one of my favourites of Salil Chaudhry. His use of flutes have always mesmerised me. The influence of Bengal and the West has been used at its best. Itna Na Mujh Sey Tu Pyar Barha and O Sajna Barkha Bahar Aai are just two of his representative lovely songs, the former with influence of the West and the latter of the East. Sjjad's seletion, Dr. Bukhari's medeley is excellent. Bainyan Na Dharo by Madan Mohan reminds me of his outstanding filmi ghazals; his question-answer with violins..
Thanks Doc. I have heard him before doing a great rendition of Moh'd Rafi's song in Bada Aadmi. Any one who can render these sublime semi-classical numbers by Lataji so well right down to the murkis is undoubtedly a master singer and he would have done brilliantly as a classical singer if he had stayed on that path. His rendition of Saanware Saanware alone is enough to convince me of that! Subcontinental music is nothing without its classical raga roots. We need to nurture them in every way.
Sajjad Ali is the grand nephew of Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khansahib, the great Ustad's sister's grandson...and an immensely talented and wonderful human being as well as a wonderful artist !!
What a flawless singing? I like Sajjad Ali very much but I feel sorry that he could not get that recognition which he deserves. Dr. Sahib, I agree with you. He should have not left classical singing. He is highly trained singer. I enjoy listening to his conventional work. Can you upload some more of his work on this forum.
Great Job I am a musician I have played 2 years with Sajjad Ali as his drummer i have my pictures on if you search Drummerboy786 on google you will see
anyways just want to say he is the best so far hve played with
What a Poor Bird who is this poor little bird All alone in this world no no its not fair at all he has no home no one in his life no no I cant bear it any more that Sajjad Ali is that Much sad and Alone no I feel Like Crying no no no ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,;(
No Main Sajjad Ali ke Man Ki Bagiya Ko Nahi Ujarne doon gi :) Kbhi Nahi Sajjad Ali Rocks :)
Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love Love HIM A LOT :)
SHIT, I HAD NO IDEA THAT THIS GUY IS SO GOOD, DAME, THIS GUY CAN BEET THE SHIT OUT OF SAREGAMAPA, ANY TIME. RAJA OR AMANAT ARE NOTHING, WELL AMANAT IS OK but sajjad ali, IS THE MAN OF THE MACH
Had he not given up classical singing, he wud be considered as great as Mehdi hassan and Noor Jehan. I personally believe that he should have continued classical singing along with pop, but sighsss...!!! Still he is extraordinary.
Sajjad Ali and he is one the very few singers in Pakistani pop who are well trained singers his father was a trained singer as well i know this guy from program 50 50 i was a kid at that time but i still remeber a young boy sining so difficult songs sepacially Bawri Cahkori but i think our pop industry needs trained singers like sajjad ali i am a Radio DJ and all my listeners say he is one the best singers in pop industry
Sajjad Ali has very good command over his voice. The training shows in the little naunces that he captures and delicate taans he can render with such ease. I only wish he could work on the bass in his voice. Then he would be wonderful. If he had gone into classical vocal, he would be another Kumar Gandharwa.
since my comment, i thought what an accomplished new singer but i went and read some of the older comments came to know that he is professional singer and a very good one too. he really sang the medley beautifully and kept at very very close to the orignal songs. pakistan should be proud of him.
Contd:I am glad that when Sajjad attempted this he atleast managed to keep originals as originals. If he had kept himself restricted to classical, no doubt named an ustad, but at the same time, would have lost his major listeners who still listen to tunes like.Paniyon mein. and many more. If I remember it clearly, He was the first artist, who intorduced jaywalk/moonwalk (whatever!)when he performed for PTV in one of his music programs.I am also glad that he is as humble even today, as before.
As much as I would like to agree with you,I still feel that by going toward the commercial side of music, he became an inspiration to many young singers who now instead of just pulling the strings of guitars or thomping to the beat of a drum, actually try to sing and also try to choose ghazals and geets of either renowned poets or songs by other great singers. Though now they tend to destroy the spirit of the melody the originals were composed.
Thanks for sharing the rare medley which demonstrates that the singer is very talented in semi-classical songs. His training has helped him succeed in a few commercial songs which will be remembered for a long time. Especially, the one which was sung initially by Ustad Amanat Ali Khan saheb.
after hearing the medley I personally think that sajjad's decision was a wiser one.he can practice classical but he would never have become as popular as he is today besides he did find his originality not to say popularity is necessary but originality is definately otherwise one can be just an amateur not a commercial artist just sharing my views not to offend any body but I think sajjad will agree with me.though except for paniyon pay &ik ghum kay siwa most of his songs are close inspirations.
I had never heard of Sajjad Ali before But thanks to Dr. Bukhari, who sent me some videos of him,I am enjoying his singing.great singer. thanks Dr, Bukhari.
I Do agree with Dr. Bukhari,AditN and others. My favourite in this clip is Saanware Wow do like that style and then the song piya bin, pawan deewanee. The newer songs of You, Cheti Cheti, Soni lagdi and Na Manoongi do like that. Aap ko to Ustaad hi kahongee..srif aap yeh Saanware ke style mein aur gaana sunado gi toh aap ki bahoute meherbani hongee. (hope Sajid Sahaab is reading this) THANKS for Upload Dr. Bukhari. :)
i liked the yaman bandish and bole re papihara...very beautiful voice with lots of control....its so difficult to sing taan at any age but to hear a 13 year old, with a changing voice, singing taans with relative perfection is something else!
how sad he didn't continue...god gave him a gift....it's unfortunate he didn't make better use of it.
Just to add ... wasted on Sajjad Ali as a Semi-classical or a classical singer. In Pop music he has attained the status of an outstanding singer and leads others by miles!
Doctor Sahib, I have already expressed my sentiments about Sajjad Ali. One can be presented to an Ustaad, but it is only the latent talents of the Shagird that the Master brings out. For Sajjad, the Ustaad's shadow and hard work over a 'would be' Ustaad himself, is wasted, alas!
SAJJAD ALI is one of my favourite singer like HUMERA CHANNA, WAHAB KHAN, BENJIMAN SISTERS who became very popular with the participation in most famous ptv programme 'SILVER JUIBLEE'. i still remember SAJJAD ALI's first performance of above mentioned show inwhich he sang MEHDI HASSAN's song "jis nay meray dil ko dard dea" with great confidence.

I notice that he has one stable (frequency) on a comfortable tone which he has carried on.
May be that what his Guru wanted him to keep with his style, pitch, time, rhythm.
