Things out in Maritime Canada are about 20 years behind the times - as usual. It's the heady '90s here. They're borrowing money, building malls & developing industrial parks like there's no tomorrow at the expense of already existing malls & shopping areas. They don't understand that what happens in California, Illinois, Michigan & Ontario eventually works its way out here.

Probably one could find a short term job in construction out here. But have alternative reasons for making the trip.

Well, I guess if the motor had to blow, at least it did it while you were still in California. I'm not sure you'd have as much luck finding a replacement in New Mexico. I live in the midwest, things are picking up somewhat, but I haven't seen much going on in construction. I hear the unemployment rate has gone down, but there's still a lot of houses for sale around here.

Hey Fellow Canuck, It's a pity that you have to leave but words of wisdom, Ontario's economy is crap right now also. Thanks to a mindless Lib provincial Government. Ontario has 11 million people and a staggering 20+ billion dollar deficit.

Our economy is probably better than most hard hit areas in the U.S., but nun the less...things have been better!

I'm living in Brantford right now Jeff and our unemployment rate is around 9.4.

@kanukster ~I hear ya. Windsor is 15%, the highest in Canada. Fortunately I did construction in the 80's all over Ontario and still have the same friends with work for me there. New townhouses are being built right now in Brantford and need to be finished, they tell me. I like Brantford. C you there!...

I've never traveled up the east side of the US of A, and would love to see West Virginia. John Denver said it's almost Heaven. I wanna know...and this new motor could climb those mountains. :-)

2 Bad about the engine. Not a common engine had to cost you big$. How many miles did you get out of her b4 she died? Reminds me I need to do some maintence change coolant oil get a couple tires on the Xb.You can use a 6 volt batt for your radio probably cheaper than D cell get polarity correct. Easy acelleration will give your ride many miles save fuel brakes and most of all money. Enjoy you videos I want a dog I just might get one they are fun to be around great alarm too.
