  • Thank you :)

  • Grabbed a 100gb block instead of a 30gb from thecubenet, no issues here! sabnzbd didn't work correctly on my pc so I used grabit. thanks for the video!

  • hey im wondering if you can help me. im using astraweb, nzb.su and sabnzbd and i've selected file to download. it comes up in my sabnzbd window but its not actually downloading!! any idea why??

  • @abena511 Hey, did you make sure to the settings page on SABnzbd and enter in the astraweb server info including your password and username?

  • Cool Thanks for the Tutorial i was Using Megaupload it's Down now i'm looking for an Alternative but torrent is so slow I got a premium with Megashares yesterday for 1 month for 9$ but i just discovered Usenet i and i'm trying to get the idea of it and still a don't exactly get the idea i hope u can help me

  • @QTR1008 Hey, sure I'll help you out, but out of the video which particular part do you need help in?

  • @fb767

So firs thing is each server like giganews , newsdemon , easynews , usenetserver , newshosting, so each one of them have their own server so for example if i want to download Blu-ray Movies say if giganews do not have them usenetserver may have them so if i pay giganews i'm scrood i should pay for usenetserver instead OR Do they all store the same NZB file so all of them will have the same files ??

    2. The search engines like nzbmatrix Do they search all servers or just giganews server ?

  • @QTR1008 They ALL store the same NZB files, so TheCubeNet will have the same files as Giganews, for example. Nzbmatrix, for one example, will work for all servers (as will all search websites).

  • @fb767

Ya Grate Thanks and do NZBmatrix have New and Old Blu-Ray Movies and cool stuff or just normal 700Mb Poor movies ??

  • @QTR1008 They have movies from every quality and era you can imagine, it's amazing really. Every movie I get is bluray quality.

  • @fb767

Will SOPA Affect Usenet servers ??

  • just moved to usenet as I was a fileserve user, disappointed as I can't find any 700mb 720p MKV movies, will use torrents for them though I'd rather not have to

  • @cunnol I don't think it's possible to encode 720P in 700mb, it was probably converted down. Otherwise I don't know, never heard of it. Mind giving me a link to an example so I can give you better answer?

  • @fb767 Hey if you search "Scorp 720p Ides of March" that's a great example. For a 650mb file it looks amazing on a 37inch TV. Obviously it's not true 720p but you'd be amazed with how good it looks

  • @cunnol

I did not see an MKV Movie less than rang from 4 GB - 23 GB I mean Real MKV Movies Blu-Ray

  • which plan are you using with thecubenet ? i'm looking at purchasing a 30gb block thats on sale right now for $3 to test out usenet. is that a good price?

  • @nubianassassin I got the Black Friday special price - $6 per month unlimited. The $3 for 30GB sounds great to try it out!

  • Good video.

  • @midarkmind Thanks.

  • Are there any other sites like packetfind? I'm looking for TrollHD releases.

  • @LegiitKWR Sorry, to be honest, I don't know man.

  • I use torrents and get 3.9Mb/s.

  • @iBombAtomicly Wow. That's some good speeds. I hardly ever reach anything close to that :(.

  • Thank you fellow RFDer :D

  • @lilboi122093 Any time, RDF FTW!

  • Thanks!

  • @fantasypills You welcome :).

  • Worked well and very helpful. Thank you very much sir! :D

  • @zorrilnz Thanks for the compliment.

  • nice tutorial

  • @jeffconcha1 Thanks a lot.

  • Very helpful, thanks

  • @casper123 No problem!

  • none of this works for me, nothing at all.

I even tried grabbit and it says the username and password is invalid. There is no one to call to get anything worked out.....so frustrated......i paid a lot of money, I guess you have to practically be a computer programmer to get this shit to work.

  • @Exascale Hey exascale, very sorry about replying so late. Are you still interested in getting this to work? Were you able to get it to work?

  • How to use mirc to XDCC. Search what you want with packetfind. Click the pack number. a window will pop up and ask you to allow the command. click ok Mirc will start up and ask if you want to join channel and server. click ok You will now be on the channel with the bot thats hosting the file. right click where you would type and select paste. You will see something like this. /ctcp [MOO]-E-EDUTW-001 xdcc send #92 This tells bot [MOO]-E-EDUTW-001 to send pack 92 watch channel bot will answer
  • I use Binsearch for my search engine to search and create nzb files.

    .binsearch.info

Usenet has been around for a long time. Another old school way to download files (free) is to xdcc the bots on IRC.

What is needed is a copy of Mirc the chat program.

The Mirc program has to be setup to auto download and resume.

A packet search engine. I use the website packetfind to search

    for files.

  • I know I'll get caused a noob for this, but I thought usenet was for news, not downloading tv episodes? Whats the advantage over a torrent program like Vuze?

  • @christhemountain Usenet has everything that you want to download from news articles to movies and games. The advantages are that it's much safer, especially with SSL, you're anonymous.

You don't upload, only download, so no need to waste bandwidth. And when you're in a country like Canada you're not doing anything illegal by only downloading.

And most importantly speed, Usenet is FAST and will more or less reach your speed limit. While Torrenting is a lot slower.

  • @fb767

Could you explain what the server is for exactly? If I understand right, the search engine helps you find the files which are like torrents, and the client downloads the actual files themselves from the servers, but do all servers have all the same files, or does, say, Giganews have a different set of files than another server? Thanks

  • @christhemountain

The server is for access to Usnet. Usenet has been around since windows 3.1. At one time Usenet was a message board with many topics (groups) for people to post questions and answers within a subject group. At that time it was free. When the binaries section was added to the usenet groups users was able could post pictures or files within a message for other users to download. Isp owners did not like that so they either blocked the binary section of usenet or did not offer it

  • @eddie2u You hit the nail on the head.

  • @christhemountain Eddie2u hit the nail on the head. The server is where all the info is actually located. In Torrenting you get multiple computer sending you parts of a files, but for Usenet you have all the info coming from one central location (the server).

  • With torrents the files are hosted by users and only accessed if the user is online. On usenet the files are held on usenet servers and could be downloaded at anytime as long as your usenet service could go back that far to the date it was posted. I have unlimited downloads with newshosting (usenet account) and could download anything stored on usenet the past 600 days.
