mine is totally screwed i have tried all the settings like pal ntcs all of them i cant even get black and white i pluged all the cords in (spliters and component cables) and nothing appears on the preview screen even when i click start recording it freezes but the record time keeps going..

@SkeptiKNation switch your xbox uotput too pal 50 first too get image then put pal-b to get the color switch back too pal-60 then you should be able to get it working following the rest of the steps in the vid hope this helps:)

Hello mate, everytime i go to record on the dvd recorder after changing to 60hz etc it crashes the programme and sometimes the computer blue screens. Any ideas?

@Mav3rs it would be something wrong with your pc.

Could be either of the following: Low RAM, Virus, Motherboard disfunction.

The best way to fix this is to use the cd you got with your pc to restore you pc to factory default.

@shaunreilly2008 LOL ok well all i can think of right now is that your cables are not set up correctly, but if they are they you should try getting it to work in black and white and then follow my step.

@NickDylan4 it must be a set up error then, make sure that you have physical set up of the capcard correct. Either read the instruction which came with it or check for a set up vid on youtube.

ok very helpful and interesting, i tried out Amcap alone with my dazzle on NTSC 433 i think it was, which someone on youtube said is the equivalent of Pal 60 but it was in black and white, so i went back to pinnacle studio 14 which came with my dazzle and recorded red dead in pal 50 but i noticed while the x box was in pal 50 if i clicked on ntsc the picture looked fine but was stretched out a bit so im wondering if i try out what you did here with my pinnacle and amcap if this might work

@M4ST3RxJACK You have too keep amcap open, Then when you hit record on your Instant DVD Recorder quickly go on amcap and switch too SECAM B and there you go your recording in colour.
