i play footbag, and i recently tried to pick up freestyle football. football is way way harder to learn. however when you watch footbag, there are more intense strings. i would love to see a freestyle footballer do a 3 min string of the moves that vasek would do. so footbag is easier, but we also do more with our tricks. therefore i would say that the two sports are even, you just can't simply judge the freestyle footballers with the same scale as a footbagger.
But since it's so much smaller, there are so many more tricks you can do, which can make stringing moves together alot harder.

I'm glad a lot of people seem to think that you can't really place one over the other. That's how I feel. They are different disciplines of the gravity game, and the amazing athletes that push these disciplines to the outer limits all deserve big respect.
I like both, it does look like a lot of moves used in freestyle football are derived from footbag moves invented 15-20 years ago. This doesn't bother me at all. It's cool you can hit a Leg Over or Mirage with either a soccer ball or footbag. Similar moves but different objects.
I liked this video, and I thought it showed good elements of both sports. I am a footbagger who has tried freestyle football, and I think that to replicate footbag movements with a football takes much more skill. Both pieces of "equipment" are designed for extremely different purposes. For the purpose of going around a bag 4+ times a footbag is more efficient, and for showing talent to an audience a football is more effective. To argue each sport should be done with the same end goal in mind.

Both styles are difficult in their own respects. Football because of the size/ bounciness of the ball, which obviously makes it harder to control. But in respect to footbag, the extent of the tricks possible makes the complexity level skyrocket in comparison to football. Personally i like footbag because of the variation and creativity, but opinions are opinions and i still give big ups to football freestylers.

Footbag isn't about kicks as much as football, but more of stalls, meaning longer strings and more tricks cause a footbag is smaller and easier to control. Freestyle football on the other hand uses a ball that is bigger, harder to control(IMO) and way harder to do multiple dexterities with. They are evenly matched but a football is recognized all over the world whereas people still call footbags "Hacky Sack" or don't even know what one is.
in my opinion one is able to express themselfs more freely with footbag, its just so much more styley, you can duck and double spin not to mention complete multiple dextarities behinde your back. Thats triple ATW impressed me the most, even though the last dex was thin. I hate all the soccer freestylers that bad mouth footbag, I enjoy watching freestyle soccer and probably wouldn't have if i never got into footbag.

Some tricks with a footbag are possible with a football. however, you will never see a 4-dex trick with a football, or dubble/triple spining.
Footbag has so mush viriety. I ts not soccer were you kick kick kick- atw atw reverse atw repeat.
Sure Vasek can do some hard tricks with a football but they are not nearly as smooth as his footbag game. I play both and respect for both.
But footbag is way cooler. and football freestylers only dream of doing the tricks a person can with footbag.

Both are really hard! I like doing both. However,
in my opinion one is able to express themselfs more freely with footbag, its just so much more styley, you can duck and double spin not to mention complete multiple dextarities behinde your back. Thats triple ATW impressed me the most, even though the last dex was thin. I hate all the soccer freestylers that bad mouth footbag, I enjoy watching freestyle soccer and probably wouldn't have if i never got into footbag.

I am a footbag player, but RESPECT for freestyle footballers! Amazing, and very hard tricks! Props for triple atw, that is also very hard trick in footbag!

Footbag freestylers seem to be more challenging, with the small ball, they can do various tricks that frestylers soccer can't. But in general both freestyl sport is hard. So please don't complain which sport is better. I, myself is soccer freestyler.

kool but, for the freestylers, you ONLY chose Fx and Skora. Come ON! why!? What about Leiki and Szymo, you made us look like shit... lol. Joking, but really, you should've showed more freestylers. Footbag looks hard as f***... you have to be sooo friggin fast, and at THAT speed, I'd break my knee and won't be able to walk, I mean look how they bend their knee and legs and at THAT blinding speed. lol. But don't get me wrong, freestyle is ALSO VERY EXTREMELY HARD!!!!
