  • I mean no disrespect to people with immunodeficiency, but the ending of this movie always makes me think about my first date which didn't happen until I was 40 years old due to an untreated anxiety disorder. When he's walking around touching and experiencing things for the first time in his life, I think about my first date when I spent the entire evening thinking "so this is what it feels like to be out on a date with a girl :-D"

  • Really good movie and I'm 12

  • The song makes me cry

  • such a nice ending. Only thing i would have added though is his parents finding him not in his room then walking out and seeing him on the horse and crying tears of joy!

  • I wonder if the dude is still alive ^.^ I want to tell him that my immune system is not the greatest at all...and I get sick really easy...what does it mean if my immune system is not really good...some times when I try to breath...I choke on air half of the time..

  • I love this movie!

    Beautiful song!!!

  • The First Time I Saw This Movie Was In

    1989.

  • awful movie

  • He definitely did the right thing by walking out of that bubble. He'd lived that way long enough, and ready or not, it was time to be free. But you can't help wishing that his immunities had built up enough so that you knew he was going to be okay.

  • I kept thinking he was going to get sick and fall off the horse etc..............

  • but her still alive? right o_o

  • i never saw this movie n this is the first time i saw it i love it great movie ive only saw the later movie though

  • i liked it. it was a nice movie =).. i like old skool movies like this not some of the crap they got on today and take it that i am 20..

  • I remember first seeing this movie many years ago, and really all I could remember was the scene in which he stepped out into the sunshine for the first time. I had no idea it was on YouTube until today. I just LOVE this movie!!!! :o)

  • @OceanicMetal This was made for TV. Maybe an Emmy?

My sister cried and cried at this when we saw it c 1980.

  • so amazing..imagine the feeling of feeling free for the first time...ahhh

  • for heaven's sakes at least put on slippers the first time you get out - that way your feet wont step on some spike that will cause you to bleed and get infected ...

  • @billboardnumber1 I thought that too lol, 'Please put on some shoes so you don't cut your foot and die' LOL

  • anyone else find it sad/ironic that John Travolta dated his "mom" here, whom he met on the set of this movie where HE was supposed to die, until HER death from cancer 6 months after filming

  • Love the movie! Thanks for posting! :)

  • what a great movie,i was born in 69,and i remember seeing this!

  • Cool movie kinda wanted to see how long he could stay outside I felt like he was gonna drop at any second

  • Did anyone see the ghost in the background at 4:34 and 5:08

  • @liloboy911808 WOAH wtf is that?! everyone look at 5:08

  • @theshankking I think I remember seeing something on tv or on a video talking about a ghost walking around in the making of this movie.

  • @theshankking Its not a ghost. It is a sailboat. I googled it and found a site where it explains what it is.

  • As soon as Todd got home after his horse riding adventure he dropped dead outside his parents house....poor todd should have listened to his doctor

  • @MyMadra really?

  • @angelchristensen yep..unfortunately

  • ahhh all the pieces freeze half way through and its fully loaded so its not that! :(

  • This movie is the best. Just now is my first time seeing it and it is great.

  • that was so sad but at the end it was so happy i luv this movie hehe

  • i like this movie

  • o m g. i love this movie so much. :) if it weren't for the reference to it in the movie "superstar" i would have never even thought to watch it. thanks for uploading this. i now have a favorite movie.

  • @s00persam same here! only came to know about it because of "Superstar". Love it now. thank you Molly Shannon! haha

  • ah those great cheezy 70's TV movies. I really miss those. Seriously I do. Given the state of TV nowadays I miss them more than ever.

  • whatch the music when he steps out of his house?

  • "What Would They Say" by Paul Williams. Probably the ultimate 70s singer-songwriter. He also wrote "We've Only Just Begun" and "The Rainbow Connection".

  • @karaloyal why does he sing like that? he's completely out of key. why does he pronounce words like that? cuunnntreyyyy..leave us alooooooooon and his voice sounds like its about to fall apart....this is probably the worst song ive ever heard.

  • @DavidRectum he has kind of weird diction but I think it is a kind of 70s diction. Good question. lol.

  • @karaloyal What's 70's diction?

  • @hjb103055 good question. I think it is kind of a back to nature urban. Like, I live in Los Angeles but I have a country twang because I would rather be on my organic honey farm baking whole wheat bread for the county fair.

  • @DavidRectum hey shut up motherfucker

  • @DavidRectum shut up motherfucker

  • @karaloyal this has to be the worst song ive ever heard. what the hell is wrong with the singer?

  • @DavidRectum I don't know. I just know he was on every single gol durn Variety Show in the 70s. Now, his work with the Muppets is actually quite good.

  • Please subscribe I wanna create a Public Domain channel but to do so I need more then 10 minutes upload time for the movies, otherwise I have to cut them into 10 minutes video clips. To get more then 10 minutes upload time I need a YOUTUBE partnership and to get the partner ship I need 1000 subscribers.

    Thanks for suporting the art.

  • @TheRastaSamurai Subscribed , my friend :)
