I'm not sure if it's still confusing to you, but the hints said to lower the lift, which I would assume means you were meant to lower the lift, put the sword on it, and then raise the lift, so you can then climb up, jump on the lift, jump across to the other side with the sword, and use the sword there. You can raise and lower the lift with the wheel underneath it, which doesn't require the sword itself.

By the way, do you think you'll play more of this?

Just an Idea, but maybe you weren't suppose to take the sword out of the switch up top before the platform exploded out from under your feet? Which if that's the case Disney messed up by not creating a way out of that situation. Only other option I see is what some others said by lowering the platform if that's even possible.

Panser, if you haven't figured it out yet; turn the wheel and lower the crane platform low enough to place the sword on it and then raise it back up for you jump across the gap while carrying the sword.

Turning the skeleton crank doesn't require the sword, once it is turned it makes the elevator go down that has the triton sword station on it go down to where the sword is.
