I've played flute for six years now, and I have a great tone, but I struggle with moving my fingers fast enough to play awesome tunes like this.

How is it custom? It looks like a one piece mid section. Is it more pratten-ish than his regular model?

Very different bore, embouchure hole/size, custom key placings and designs (long Bb for instance). Basically it was built to fit my hands and playing style. Dave is good like that!

interesting... can i ask you why you chose Dave to make you the flute if you wanted such a different instrument from what he usually makes?

Partly because I developed a good relationship and friendship with him and also because he makes flutes that suit the player rather than a "one style fits all" business model. He's open to new designs and ideas and constantly innovates and he'll continue to refine until you have exactly what you want. Also, he's a heck of a nice guy:)

You are probably right. I used to play it with Enchanted Lady (a la the Bothy Band), and I think I mixed up the titles!
