Haha... You are not too big for him. They are very strong animals. If you were huge, and you were hurting him with bad balance, bouncing around, etc, he would make clear he did not want you there.

Think about it.. a mare can handle the full weight of a stallion on her back...

How cute!!! You really do ride well. It's not easy to be in balance while riding a tiny pony like that. Anyways, I think it is so great that also the small ones get to be trained properly.

At the end of the day- If your pony can carry you, then you can ride him/her. Ponies are strong sturdy built animals, so they have no problem carrying adults or long legged people. It's a modern thing for ponies to be used as ponies for children, but they really have no problem carrying adults.

Nothing wrong about your riding but your sitting like in a chair ! And your feet ar dingling on like pendels ! Not good ! That can be one reason why he lost the tact a few times ! And your to big for a pony like him !

You try sitting correct on an overweight pony, that is simply impossible. I'd be sitting only on my tighs if I were to try it. And my legs aren't touching his sides so if they dangle a bit, whats the difference? I'm also fully aware that I'm to big for him, but he is a strong pony and it won't hurt him that I train him every now and then. My sister is still not capable of riding him quite as well as I do, and if he uses his body correct those few times I train him then there is no harm in it.
