nice i just got 1:56. I get to the boss in about 1:41 but it always takes me 10+ seconds to beat him, he always jumps up at first and does that stupid BHB thing. UGH

Pretty nice run. But it's actually faster to use the Black Hole Bomb against the first Met after the spike pit where you used the Concrete Shot, thus saving a Jewel Satellite for the ladder room near the end so you don't have to slow down. I tried this strategy out myself, and I actually beat your time getting to Galaxy Man, but he delayed my fight about a second longer. Nice run, though.

And how the hell did some guy get 1:41? I didn't think you could get faster than this!
