A competent driver would never risk this action since he would put at risk the lives of others in different lanes - he would/should be looking ahead, keep composed,and brake as hard as conditions allowed in a straight line. This would shorten the stopping distance dramatically whereas braking and steering in a turn violently would lead to disaster and more than likely trip a combination over if the the load was a high and CoG and conditions were dry. that video was to show esp,its simular to traction control.when he switched it off and swerved to miss the box he started to slide.that esp is the bollocks but it cant stop the loads shifting.he was a shit hot driver tho.

No YOU as the driver should Load you vehicle that IT CANNOT move!!!

And yes to put you load down with Gurten (german) takes a lot of effort and time.

But it is needed especially in Germany = and not only for the high fines there.

its not allways possible,you can only secure loads to a certain extent.all loads are different.that could of had pallets with boxes full of anyones guess??they can break easy hence you cant strap down tight,or the shrink wrap can also give way causing a shift of weight.etc.straps and chains and anchor points also fail every now and then.
