@captainjimcook No, Robin will also not be introduced. Nolan has stated that his world of Gotham represents the younger ages of Batman in which Robin wouldn't exist. Hence, Robin will not be apart of the final film.

I'm glad about that since Robin would totally ruin the tone of the film.....

I heard a long time ago after Heath Ledger's death that Nolan said there was enough footage to carry the Joker into the next film. Now The Dark Knight Rises is a terrible title, but I have a feeling that the production companies (maybe someone for Warner Bros) pressured Nolan (or whoever came up with the title) to include "The Dark Knight" in the title in order to sell the movie better. Either way, Nolan knows what he is doing....so I wouldn't worry too much.

How much evil must one do to preserve good?Things like that.

If he was able to make Inception as good as it was then this third installment wouldn't be a problem for him. Although I am quite scared about the villain to. Either way, the script was written by Jonathon Nolan and that man knows how to write good scripts.
