@TableWolfMusic Galileo will be more accurate then GPS, Europe wanted a own navigation system because USA don't guarantee the GPS service in a armed conflict and it's better ;)
@TableWolfMusic Existing GPS of course won't compete with this . However, this requires lots of money and satellites to support it. So far, Galileo is still in its design, and haven't sent out 1/3 of the satellites to support its minimum functions after the idea was posted for 10 years. On the other hand, GPS & Beidou 's original design were different from Galileo, but they are already applied to some purpose. And ppl can always upgrade existing tech's. Good luck, new tech is always exciting
@lkaruga Not really. Can you imagine 30 satellites colliding if the surface of the earth was their orbit? Now imagine them orbitting in 3-d space much bigger than earth itself.
Wow I loved the 3-D video! I would have liked to hear a frank discussion of the differences between this system and GPS, however. Since GPS is already widely used, it's probably an overstatement to say that this system will "completely change our daily lives", as the video claims.
love the work here

Nice!
But what about space trash... They are more than likely to collide with other objects.
