i played campaign in dark crusade with tau empire. in an seemingly unfair battle, i slaughtered the marine commander with only 3 groups of infantry. trust me, if you want to play warhammer 40k-themed shooting game, this is the race you wanna play with

The basic Tau troops are called Fire Warriors because they come from the Fire Caste (Earth=contruction, water=diplomats, air=pilots), and you play as Tau because GW wanted to pimp their new race :D

There are Mods about for DOW:DC which greatly enhance the game, ie increase the number of units in each squad, and increasing unit limits. one mod in particular which is popular is DOW:DC Annihilation

Relic needs to realize that Dawn of War is old tech. They could easily make DoW 2 with their essence engine and it would satisfy all of us who actually play real 40k and got annoyed when IG took bolter rounds without dieing. Not to mention space marines getting mowed down by shurikan catapults from across the map.

My proposale for a 40k game is this: Create a 'Dawn of war meets first person shooters'

Basicly you can decide who you wanna be, and on what team. Sort of like abttlefield 2 but with a 40k twist. Everyone would enjoy it. Just throw in all the 40k races and be done with it.
