  • Sorry, but I am never gonna feel satisfied handing over $300 for a cardboard box with a CD in it

  • Cool soft synth, but this video is in mono. Can hardly hear the sound quality.

  • PHAT PHART

  • I have a prophet-5, and while software emultations get the general idea, the balls and warmth can only come from the real thing

  • Where can I find the recording of this prophet jam? :S

  • @sinthlyfe Yeah a hassle.....what computer? what sound card? what software? what midi?...the list goes on. Not only do I not know about that stuff, I don't know where to find the info or where to start. I plug my p5 in and it's instant warmth. And stable! I don't want to waste time to chase down all the crap just to get a flat sound. I want the real deal. It's so much easier!

  • @TheSongsparrow To me, digital is more friendly than analog. But that's because I'm not old...

  • @Darkozl You're not old enough perhaps to have heard a rev 2 when they came out so now you have to go along with the digital version. It's not as good FYI. I bet you wouldn't know what to do with a real prophet if you had it in front of you.

  • @TheSongsparrow I wouldn't. I specialize in video and motion graphics but I wanted to dabble in music too because it's such a great way to express almost anything. So basically I'm very new to audio.. I should probably trust you :)

  • FLUFF!!!!

  • PURE Synth PLEASURE. I want one of those the two dudes are jamming on!

  • so based on this video, the Prophet is for fart noises? Damn , hold me back.

  • is it just me or the guy in blue looks like a young jackie chan when he is looking down?

:) i still love the playing at 1:30

    peace

    Brian

  • No, you are not getting three synths! They all sound the same...dull, flat and lifeless. And the hassle you have to go through to set it all up from start to finish....it's easier to get the reall thing.

  • @TheSongsparrow uhhhhh...hassle to install? You mean downloading and entering a code? Compared to finding, paying for and lugging around a real one? Digital will never replace analog, but it's a pretty convincing solution.

  • That is one phat fart.

  • you want to know what you can really do with the arturia gear in the studio?

you can check out my produced track for the international Funkerman contest.

"Now or never" the synths in this track are created with an arturia jupiter 8 and the arturia CS80 and the bass with the prophet V. I can absolutely recommend these synths.

  • What ya want is built in reverb....

  • what's the intro song? or does anybody knows some more of that kind of music?

  • @barie666 uh yea....the synth demo genre?

  • the patch on that prophet is gorgeous :) and that solo is funky as hell :D i still would like them to have used the same'ish kind of settings to compare the synths ... there probably is very little difference.

  • I tried those Cs80- prophet V... No sustain pedal!!! totally absent. Hey arturia! even the cheapest softsynth i own have a working sustain pedal....Wake-up!!

  • I'd go into Pro53 :-)

  • This is the best version for edgy and original sounds, take the Native Instruments version for commercial sounding saw-sounds

  • The fart sounds are perfect.

  • Both are good :)

  • WOW - the Prophet 5 made great fart sounds!

  • The oscilators are so Aliased, you must not buy.

they cannot fix these problems, and they prolly not interested in doing that, other than selling their deffective soft.

    Try Before you buy.

  • Software never sounds as good as the actual hardware, if you really want the sound of the prophet 5, buy one. There's not substitute for quality.

  • i have the actual prophet 5 annd i can truely say its the exactttt sounds!!!

  • Check out the Wally Badarou CD, Echoes, and the cut Waltz...around 3:03, you'll hear the best, smoothest, warmest brass synth sounds ever...you can find the cut on youtube...if this soft synth can make those sounds...let me know.

  • @kavor87

    Bullshit...I have one too

  • Good upload and one of the best packages for the price, shame about the bloody dongle though, I like to use cracked software but buy the retail ones and just keep them in their boxes, saves on dongle hassle!

  • :) yep piracy protection only effects the genuine customers it sucks balls :S i have to email ableton everytime i reinstall windows which is around once a year :S

  • Absolutely.

I use a cracked version of Tracktion 2 even though I own the original purely because its WAY too much hassle registering over and over, plus they only give you a limited number of registrations.

LOL, what the f@cks that all about, limited, hahha, I bought the bloody software, now I find out it was actually leased. LOL, idiots.

What if I dont have internet access? I'll tell ya, I'm screwed thats what.

Thank god freeware is REALLY good now as it saves so much grief.

    Screw Arturia

  • There are no really good user-demo type vids yet

  • I love it!

  • awesome, sequential circuits are so awesome
