  • Zajebista odcina ;)...

  • Don't feel too badly most modern NA v6's make more power than these turds.

    Flame suit on.

  • this is why honda's and toyota's don't need catalytic converters, they run so smooth

  • dude, thats 50c... not a round coin lol

  • @lobzdik thats the point nobhead. a round coin would roll off by the angle of the the surface. this is a measure of the lack of engine vibration not angle of the flat surface...brainnn use it mate..

  • i did that with my 4.6 thunderbird once and it stayed on edge

  • Im sorry but i find it hard to believe that cuz an engine is able to rev to 6k rpm and not make the coin fall over its the best fucking engine in the world, it just means the motor is very well balanced and is stock, im gonna try to do this on my 18 year old 305 chevy wich is stock and runs good, the thing beraly shakes, after it gets warm it idles so damn low that it basically wants to die but never does, idle is like 450 rpm its kind of crazy.

  • Very cool video clip!

  • well balanced engines. alot of your old muscle cars, even the slow 6 cylinder ones will throw the coin onto the ground at 2000rpm lol

  • Well yes it also means that the cams , as this is Quad cammed are not lumpy at all and the motors are stock standard. If your running wild camshafts or camshaft as it would be in any older style American motor the engine will rock about without doubt. There is no question that a Toyota V8 whatever the size is very smooth, however I have seen this trick done with the LS1 motor just as well and making way more HP, check it out right opposite

  • god thats a sleeping crownvic in a lexus i tell ya :D

  • Damn! Found this randomly checking out some videos, and that's pretty goddamn amazing to be honest. Anyone who doesn't understand the cool factor in this, try it on your own vehicle. Personally I own a 95 Mustang GTS, and my 5.0 would be knocking that coin down at idle in all honesty.

  • piece of shit

  • i can do that in my golf

  • The best engines...period

  • Solid motormounts for sure!

  • Tried it on a 454, I cant find the coin now. :(

  • lol

  • Is it because the motor blew up? Just kidding :) Total GM fan here, but I like to rip on my own kind, haha.

  • No, just that good ole 454 has so much damn torque it throws anything you put on it.

  • @JakeWeb93 Lmfao

  • wow, this engine sounds so sweet...

  • Toyota For ya!

  • Toyota's love penis.

  • well done man. thats a good effort.

  • That's awesome man congratulations on such a sweet ride. I tried that on my datto V8 and it wouldn't even stay upright on idle.

  • oh man that's rude... : )

  • i thought these engines revlimiter was like at 8,000 rpm?

  • no, but they'll happily do 8,000+ once the limiter's removed... for a little while at least lol.

  • sounds sweet sorta like v8 supercar lol

  • It is out of a suprecar..

  • That's tight as man! My SR would slingshot it off!

  • 2nd that, i really wanna throw this motor in my s13 just cause its so smooth

    SR tractor FTW bro!

  • i have a v8 soarer but i had no idea that the rev limiter waz at 6500rpm

  • They are not all set the same, This engine is from a crown

  • u were rite i tryd today and it does rev limit at 6500rpm

  • That's a smooth as engine you have there mate, nice work! I tried doing this on my 4.0L I6 Falcon, and when the engine torqued up the coin just fell off lol. About as smooth as a hacksaw. :P

    Cheers

  • i have a question. i think its cool that it stands up but umm what does that mean? like is it good to be able to do that?

  • It just means that this engine was designed well and then built very well from factory.

The way all engines should be built really....

  • did you use solid motor mounts in the conversion?

  • No standard engine mounts that came with the half cut.

funny thing tho the drivers side one has a mini shock absorber!

  • Hmm, Crown/GS half cut? Does only the Crown/GS have that shock absorber? Where did you get the haf cut? Im trying to get this motor in my 83 Celica.

  • what cc is the engine. i didnt know lexus made v8s

  • Its a 39xxcc Motor. Toyota makes them.

  • I'm not sure on the half cut, all I know is that is was a crown.

    Toyota/Lexus make

    4.0L (1UZ-FE)

    4.7L (2UZ-FE)

    4.3L (3UZ-FE)

    ALL V8'S

Im not sure on the sizes of there new V8's but I think it was about 5.0 - 5.4V8

  • Its 4.6-5.0-5.7L. the UR Series. 4.6 is used in the new LS. The 5.0 is used in the Hybrid LS and will be used in the IS-F. The 5.7L is in the new Tundra and Sequoia.

  • thanks for replying. really nice sound wish i had that engine:)

  • Lol, you never seen the LS400? or even the V8 soarer?? Great engines on bothose cars, espescially the LS400, iv seen one that have done 500,000ks and run like they are brand new!

  • Great engine. You ever see Lexus' TV spot in the '90s where they put a pyramid of wine glasses on the hood of an LS 400 on a dyno? Smooth as gravy...

  • u americans with your pride, every car that came from america was shit.....period....and u know it...it may be fast but the build quality sucks asssssssssssss

  • wow ur gay. Japan is lightyears ahead of american cars

  • i know and i totally agree. BUT you compare a 1970 or 69 camaro to a car of the same year from japan what do you get from japan, fuck all

  • true the 69 camaro is the sickest american car ever. Mustangs cant compare, they are a bitch car.

  • what about the Skyline C10? Nice looking, and it competed against Porsches in Touring Cars races

  • Who cares about then, you do the same thing today and what do you get?? A japanese engine which will last over 500,000k's, revs how a road engine should rev and still delivers power.

  • i agree. im from america, but we suck for cars

  • How you guys liking the new re-badged VE commodores from australia?...i think pontiac sells them over there. i think your guys ones are actually less powerfull due to you guys have stricters emmisions control..

  • @gwadd85 bull shit can u say 70 olds 442, 69 yenko camaro, 69 dodge challenger,67 gt500 mustang, 70 plymouth roadrunner superbird to name a few GREAT american cars not saying that jdm suck but american cars do not suck

  • @gmizuno21 newer american cars kind of do suck, though.. from about 57-73 are the only good years for american cars IMO..

  • @gmizuno21 Great --yes Good -- Na

  • lexus advertised the ls400 like that in the 1989 launch. Very well built and balanced.

  • what do you have done to this?

  • What?

  • Wow, sounds great!!! I'm trying to make my SC400 V8 sound like a Lexus Lion, too!

  • these have been know to be quite tunable and make well over the 600hp marn still n/a not bad for a 4000cc v8

  • GO the 1UZ smooth motor

    is it in a soarer

  • thats a smooth fuckin motor...too bad it aint american lol

  • If it was an American built engine I would not have bought it!

  • im just messin man...who cares what it is if its fast right

  • all'tho I would own a LS1 or LS2. there not as smooth as a 1UZ but they make a butt load more power

  • ls1 and 2 are kinda played out and not that great...im an old skooler...if it aint got a carb i dont want it lol

  • Why?

  • why not lol

  • No I was asking SiFDP why he would not have bought it if it were American.

  • oh right lol soz...anyway back on track...nice motor! yea...um

  • thats exactly why it IS a smooth motor

  • what car is that

  • The did the same thing with the 2L straight six motor out of a 320i BMW.. it was actually the advert for them in the UK... balance a 50p coin (same as OUR 50c peice) and rev the tits off it.

great peice of machinery and the same can be said about the toyota V8's too. they're great motors, none of this pushrod-V8 bogan, punch your wife and have a VB crap that holden use.

  • Hahaha, indeed!

  • very cool

  • There also fairly small, this one's in an engine bay where a 4 banger use to be.

  • that is one stout motor, powerful and extremely reliable. It can also handle a good amount of boost even in stock form.

  • Those Lexus V8s are mint engines. They're used in a lot of jetboats here in New Zealand. Can't go past them for reliability.

  • 1989 Toyota crown engine

  • wow, well im impressed. i cant remember where i saw it (musta been on tv)where they had the new lexus ls i think with the 3.5 V6 engine idling, and they placed a microphone on the bonnet and you couldnt hear a sound :D

    the persuit of perfection baby!

  • how olds the engine?

  • they sure know how to build car, the japanese

  • Yep still got the original spark plugs it came with.

Even the shims on the cam's are original, Infact the only thing I have changed is the oil and oil filter

  • Quality Japanese machine
