I worked on this show & I was Radiohead's personal assistant for the Day (and Night)!! I thought I died and went to Heaven..... Coolest guys that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. You should have heard all of the songs that they played for sound check. Like a 45 minute show JUST for sound check!! Then!, They cut this performance which sucked ass because they also played "Fake Plastic Trees" right before "Bones" but there wasn't enough time to air both songs....

As far as tone goes, then maybe - it might be their heaviest rock album.

Emotionally, though, despite the gravity of songs like Fake Plastic Trees, Bulletproof, Street Spirit and others, I don't consider The Bends to be their most emotionally heavy album. I think Kid A, maybe OK Computer, would be their heaviest in that regard.

I was at this TV taping. I got to watch the sound check as well. The band also played The Bends. Its amazing that even then they had such a great sound and presence before it became cool to like radio head. What a great band.
