If I were the Beatles I would put: White Album Lady Madonna after Dear Prudence Inner Light after Yer Blues Abbey Road Not Guilty EXACTLY after the cut of I Want You, After Not Gulty, Revolution, Hey Jude mixed after the orcestra fade out from Golden Slumbers, Let It Be Old Brown Shoe after I've Got A Feeling The Ballad Of John and Yoko after For You Blue and after THAT, Don't Let Me Down You Know My Name (Look Up The Number) as last song. :)
But then, so many of Georges songs(that he saved for "All Things Must Pass," would have fit perfectly between many songs on many Beatle Albums, but then, I'm very biased.
@rockinroller7 Yeah I think I heard another version once and this is a lot more like it. Well the video is great. Yeah even if he wanted it for Beatles George was not allowed. It seems Paul was more jealous of George and that John and George seemed like they really liked each other. The guitar should go really more wild then it does in the middle and the end but that is my bias.
Yeah, it could have been a bit more heavy, but I think George was aiming for the middle of the road, with regards to the message, and didn't want to run over it with the guitar.
And I was aiming for a spot too, just by adding the song.
@rockinroller7 I can see George's voice has a nice echo and then into a distortion effect. But he might have borrowed that from John but he's not too guilty as One Fine Day or borrowed it from George Martin. At 2:41 for a few secs it is a really good sound (a little Neil-like Southern Man) that should have kept going and it does at the very end of the song too.
The BBCs Radio 2s Sounds Of The 60s Beatles A to Z song for week startg SAT28AUG10 The final instalment of the series that started with John's A Day In The Life. The history Not Guilty can be heard for 1 week after Aug28 by going to the prog site. This would have fit perfectly on Abbey Road's dark side 1, right along side Come Together and I Want You (She's so Heavy).
