Well I was waiting for the release of Notion Ink Adam. Unfortunately iy was all sold through its website in less than 2 days. So, waiting for the next slot. Its really a nice and innovative product. One feature that goes bad with IPad is its operational temperature. Ipad has an upper limit of 35 'C. So, if you are living in a part where summer or heat is more then I dont think that IPad is a good choice. better look for some alternative. Also Apple products has a very costly spare part.

Can you imagine a side by side comparison...there is going to be much ipad regret. The thing I like about it is that you will be able to put different operating systems on it. Try that with ipad.

Notion Ink have lost the plot. they should have launched early to develop their brand. but now manufacture like HP/Lenovo/Samsung and what I hear Nokia themselves are expected to launch similar tech, much cheaper. Established brands already have manuracturing capacity to establish economies of scale. Its like the CWG games. All hype and no execution ability!!!!!!!!!!

@blackhand1818 dude, what are you on about?! Nothing even comes close to an ipad at the moment with the screen capabilities, and definitely not for the price. This thing it going to go way past the ipad in terms of screen and EVERYTHING else. Get your facts straight!

@joshhailesdesign Well as far as me getting a hand review on the device nobody knows how it is but me I was talking as in specs the Notion INK has better hardware but its clear that Apple brand alone sells item even when they short change you by releasing the IPad with no camera and I bet the second gen will but isn't that a rip off????

@AndroidAdvocate PLEASE USE FULL STOPS. anyway, erm, I don't quite get what you're saying, but the point is, when this thing does get released, I'm buying one, an that's all that really matters to me - not how much they sell to everyone else. This doesn't rely on everyone else having one, like a mobile phone does.

@blackhand1818 Yes, but the difference is that the Adam actually exists, and has final software and hardware. AND has been reviewed by loads of people hands-on and NO ONE has said it's anything less than amazing other than the apple fanboys like you who haven't tested it.

yo … I'm still waiting for this thing. For me the most important things are that it will run a low power OS like Android and able to dual boot into a real os like Ubuntu … decent battery life (at least in Android mode) and build in camera for visual notes and webcam duty … I car very little for Flash myself … I can see this as a laptop replacement … otherwise I'll keep draging my macbook everywhere …

@Tlillies not that it comes with three OS's but you will be able to choose one with either OS. But the way its been on a hold i don't know if their coming with more than one OS or not but check my blog another tablet is rumored to release this week for $150.00

@AndroidAdvocate Here is the deal with multiple OS's: For a Full installation of Ubuntu, you should have at least 10GB to partition. Then you can partition more of your drive for chromium and android. I think android OS is around a functional 3 or 4 GB, more depending on videos, pictures and apps. They will really have to tweak ubuntu, its too heavy of an OS. But is will be spendy to have Ubuntu 10GB, chrome OS 3GB and 3GB android plus X GB for media.

@Abuck10 That we will! In fact, I suspect it's higher than that. 16 hours is with the backlight, but that is dynamically controlled based on ambient light conditions. Do your research on the Pixel Qi screen the Adam will be using; it can reflect ambient light instead of using the backlight, so reading it outdoors will be comfortable and save battery.

Besides, batteries are getting better each month ever since funding for battery research started flooding in, thanks to Electric cars!
