Alas, I am uninsurable because of high-risk pregnancies... (my insurance company AETNA actually had the balls to drop my coverage... but I digress).
So, even though I would love to participate, bone density scans are pretty pricey for cash patients. I hope you get some takers though. It would be good to see what actually happens.
Like Kevin Trudeau says in "The Weight Loss Cure" THEY won't go with the truth. I've had Bone D. tests every 4 yrs. & mine is fine. Even if I DO lose muscle on the weight loss portion of the protocol, I know I can and WILL rebuild it when at goal wt once I begin weight training exercises then, so that isn't an issue for me. I can't lose weight on a "regular" diet as I'm Insulin Resistant & even on the Protocol I take 8-9 days to get into ketosis.
If you inquire about the body comp test, ask about a group discount or repeat test discount. If you're at risk of osteoporosis and have insurance, the 1st test might be covered if you can talk your PCP into it... actually if they aren't totally opposed to the protocol you might have both tests covered.
great job delmen
