I'm sorry, but this is just bad. for starters, the production quality sounds like it was recorded in an empty warehouse.Second, Drums are fucking weak, and did the musicians even tune their guitars? Do they know how to set their distortion? There's nothing brutal about this. People always rip on Dimmu Borgir saying how much they suck, but apparently suck just means they have talent and are good enough to get a decent studio and experienced producers.
Black metal is meant to have this kind of production. The intent is to create a raw, cold atmosphere.
Crystal-clear production is best reserved for genres like progressive rock. A polished production simply does not fit in with the musical expression of black metal.
Black metal does not exist to please audiophiles who only care about formulaic production values. Its purpose is to be a musical expression of pure hatred and coldness.

And Norway may be "Rich", but the cost of living is 30% higher there than it is in America. It's not guaranteed that these hacks have enough money to produce good sound quality, because chances are there records don't sell a lot.

However, wht happened in Norway in the early 90's shaped black metal into a "proper" genre with its own musical qualities. And one of the distinct quality of black metal has become primitive production. If you are too blind to see facts universally acknowledged, then this discussion is nothing but a waste of time.
Yes, prices are much higher here in Norway, but that is because our wages are significantly higher. The average Norwegain citizens earns approximately 72.200 dollars each year. And minimum wage earners are a lot less poor than they are in the United States.
