Thank for the trip of Max's life. I had a Weimaraner for 12 beautiful year,they melt your heart. I ran a day care and Emma was the best dog anyone could ask for,she looked out for the kids, and when they got close to. out of bounds she hearded them back to the sandbox.

One little girl only would fall asleep with her head on the dogs belly. It's been a year since I lost Emma,but next week we go to pick up our new puppy,Lamoka,A Weimaraner of course!.

Hi, Weimaraners and Vizlas are both great breeds, no inherent problems so I guess it will come down to personal preference......but I like Weims!!!!!

what the others have told you seems right. it really is about personal preference. i am sure they are a little different, but also similar. both can be raised to be great dogs, and are energetic. i would highly suggest just looking very closely at which breeders and parent dogs are best, then chose the breed, if ya no what i mean

Weims come with two different color eyes...if they are still yellow(officially called Hazel though I think it looks more golden than Hazel) they will stay that way!! Still just as beautiful!

Hi, Thanks for the comments. Max took to it like a duck to water! I started by getting him to retrieve sticks at the waters edge, then slowly threw them further out into the water so he was walking in, then paddling. It's good if there are other dogs around who are comfortable in the water.

We have two Weims, one we raised from a pup, the other we adopted from the SPCA when he was 2. Your guy looks just like the male we adopted.  He's a big guy too. Weim pups are gorgeous, but IMHO, they loose none of their appeal as they age...they're just as gorgeous as adult dogs.
