Ronaldo has played upfront as a forward winger for the majority of the season for Man Utd, Kaka plays as a midfielder for Milan. Also, Ronaldo has so many more chances. In the Premiership, he has had most shots on and off target out of everyone, thats why hes leading goalscorer, he has more opportunities then anyoen else, and thats because he has a great team behind him whilst Milan's team is now too old so Kaka has to make do.

I agree with the creating chances bit, great players should be able to make something of nothing, but I dont think that means you have to be greedy. Cruijff and Pele were team players and almost always passed when a player was in a better position (final goal in 1970 WC final great example), but Ronaldo is v.greedy and always shoots not matter how unrealistic is it. The odd one goes in and all the pundits think hes amazing and forget the 4/5 shots hes had which were a waste.

that was a uyear ago.. and it was one match.. world player of the year should and one day will be decided by consitency of a player, for his club, and for international teams. 2007 was ronaldo's year.. he scored a total of 23 goals last season whuile kaka had 8... he also is a winger not a Attack.mid. 24 ass. kaka had 12. and this year 5 goal in 5 CLmatch. kaka has 3 in 6. internationally ronaldo outbneats him even more.

like said before, Kaka is a complete player. He can start the build be a winger n play the #10 position. Kaka doesnt need to score if his directing the attack or/and giving assists. Just look at the Ac Milan vs Boca Juniors.

no.. team trohpies dont decide whether or not you are the best player around. its individual efforts that decide your status as the best or not, and consistency plays a huge role in that, somehting kaka dusnt have. Also.. for ex: george best, eusebio, cantona, cruyff etc.. they never won a ton of team trohpies.. because their international teams aren't the best. jst liek drogba and zlatan.. they wont win a world cup cus their countries dont have material to win.

consistency.. goals. assists.. entertainment and unpredictability desrcibes the best player. not just doing amazing in one tourny. thats why i think he is the best & 1 to watch he made the biggest impression this year, because since the WC 2006 he matured ALOT.kaka didnt do too much in the league, nor his country in friendly & other types of matches.this goal is nice.. but constistency brings these goals all the time..ronaldo is still going to get better..

i know it shuld have been Zlatan before messi. and no.. kaka isnt better than ronaldo. Right now Ronald's the best. Constency makes a player, he has 17 goals in 15 games. Kaka .. has 15 goals for his Country and Milan(put together) and 6 assists. Ronaldo ha 17 goals just for Man Utd. I dont care if he did outstanding in the CL. and decent in the league. first of all... the club world cup was the day before the award was given.. i guaranee my life that they already knew who they were going to choose as best player weeks before, nt a day. So he won only CL. Cristiano Ronaldo owon premier league, gets last minut game winner goals all the time, won Community shield, scored amazing freekick against best players in europe last year. and guess wat kaka wasnt on it.. ronaldo RIGHT NOW is better than kaka

so.. kaka wats his goal % this season for Milan? maybe if you answer it youll realize.he has like 10 goals for Milan while ronalod has 17. he has like 5 goals for brasil this season so far while Ronaldo has about 14. sure hes been playing alot in euro 2008, but wouldnt that make him more tired for ePL matches..? i guess not because hes doing alot better than anyone else right now... look up how many penalties kaka has missed.. hes missed atleast 2 or 3. ronaldo this is his first.

he dusnt take freekcicks because heget outshined by pirlo cus hes not great at them. he gets outshined.. period. ronaldo at the moment is the best. u cant argue it. sure kaka did great last season, ronaldo did too and he didnt win as big of a competition as kaka with his team but dusnt take away his individual abbility to chaneg a game. noth different players i liek them both, but ronaldo is great right now and not yet near his prime.

I dunno maybe the match between Man U and AC helped the voting towards kaka's side because id say they are about equal in what they have achieved... Mainly because kaka put Ronaldo in the shade that match. But for me i believe ronaldo has way more potential... hes only 22 and playing in 'my opinion' the hardest league in football and smashin it to bits at times. Cristiano and Messi are the ones to watch for the future definately

Ronaldo is clearly way better this year, way more skills.. but Kaka did win the champions league very hard to do for any player.. As a die-hard brazil fan, kaka hasnt done enough for us, no Copa Americas, nothing in World Cup while Ronaldo gives his heart out, look at him cry when they lost! always plays hard for Portugal.. overall if c ronaldo wins EPL and CL no question best player right now....... Ronaldo has played upfront as a forward winger for the majority of the season for Man Utd, Kaka plays as a midfielder for Milan. Also, Ronaldo has so many more chances. In the Premiership, he has had most shots on and off target out of everyone, thats why hes leading goalscorer, he has more opportunities then anyoen else, and thats because he has a great team behind him whilst Milan's team is now too old so Kaka has to make do.

I agree with the creating chances bit, great players should be able to make something of nothing, but I dont think that means you have to be greedy. Cruijff and Pele were team players and almost always passed when a player was in a better position (final goal in 1970 WC final great example), but Ronaldo is v.greedy and always shoots not matter how unrealistic is it. The odd one goes in and all the pundits think hes amazing and forget the 4/5 shots hes had which were a waste.
