Thanks guys, funny enough I enrolled at a local university in Spr 11, and am now taking Prob and Stats course that's Calc based.... now I understand all the stuff in this video, and have realized that, it's not nearly enough of what I need to know to pass the exam... wish they showed more.
ACTEX is very helpful compare to other studying materials. i am a student at University of Texas at Austin and currently i'm preparing for the p1 exam. as you see on the title, this is only a preview. the actual studying material is much more deep and focused on application. i hope everyone does well on the exam !
I'm curious to know which academic level in the U.S. this exam prep. is corresponding to (1st year bach., 2nd year master, etc), can anyone tell me?
No disrespect intended, but it seems like american students in actuarial science are going through a less sophisticated curriculum than the scandinavians and I was just wondering if its because they often are 'only' bachelors?.
@MrRealFruit Hi. I'm an actuarial student in the USA, and I'll be taking the probability exam soon. Yes, this is for the undergraduate (or bachelors) level, although there are people in MBA programs taking similar classes. I myself am still an undergraduate, expecting to graduate in 2012. How does the system work in Scandinavia?
Nice Nice Video. I really loved your video. Youtube can be a great asset for you. If you need any help getting your video exposed, check out this site called tubeviews [dot net] It has really done wonders for me, I have built 3 Channels up with videos at top in position and this is my forth channel i'm going to working on.

@oo70mar Where? Very smart question with a very easy answer. University and a teacher. Don't expect to become an actuary based on Youtube videos.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. There is far more to P/1 than memorizing formulas.
