  • take a look at youtube.com/watch?v=ym2xED-1krE or search youtube for "Sam Pilgrim 2000fps" then look at the slomo at 27secs. It's AMAZING

  • What lense are you using?

  • @BULLHORNpictures Thanx for the reply :) I know, but for some reason I can't see all of the descriptions below videos.........

  • @TangDynasty83 Any reason for not using primes for video?

  • @TangDynasty83 I have a 50, but i wanted wide so...

  • Needs a whole lot more epic parkour

  • WELL DONE!

  • which program ? slow moition

  • @zana89ful program called Twixtor. sub? ;)

  • how did you do for haven't focus with the 550D

  • nice work w the cuts! almost no distortion !

  • Nice! im currently learning twixtor atm

  • fiskehove

  • love it, here is my test /watch?v=2hiVQikFbVY

  • Wait a minute, you can choose shutter speed while filming with a DSLR? I thought that the shutter stays open while filming.

  • @les777pl It does stay open, but the "shutter speed" when shooting video is actually just the sensor being activated for, say, 1/2,000 of a second, then it's not activated, and then next frame it activates again.

  • @GhazelMusic Yeah, I realised that when I remembered how compact cameras work, but thanks anyway.

Too bad Nikon D90 does not have such exposure controls in filming. But hey, you can't have everything.

  • @les777pl Well, it can! I have a D90, and I have a 35mm f/2 all manual lens that works perfect for general video shots. Because it's all manual, I control the aperture with the aperture ring, and I can change the ISO. I can't set my shutter speed to exactly what I want, but I can influence what it's going to be based on my aperture/ISO settings.

  • @GhazelMusic Oh, if you have a D90, can you tell me one thing about filming with it? If you use a lens with automatic aperture, do you have any control over it? I suppose you can't just choose the value in the A or M mode? Is it possible to directly change anything besides the ISO in the A, S or M modes? The only thing I saw in test is changing the exposure value in general.

I'm still trying to figure out, what to buy and D90 (+ 18-105) is one of my favorites.

  • @les777pl Actually I think I was mistaken, I don't think you can change the ISO for video. There's really not much control with a lens with automatic aperture. The best exposure settings you can get is from a lens with a manual aperture ring on it.

Check out the Canon 60D. It has lots of manual adjustments in video mode, I think. And it can shoot 60fps.

  • @les777pl Google Mechanical Shutters :)

  • @BULLHORNpictures Your comment has nothing to do with my question.

  • SO MUCH VIGNETTE.

  • awsome work, wat did u use?

  • @luckyleonardes all in the description :)

  • @BULLHORNpictures , lol..sorry for not reading erithing, Hey!...nice choice of music..great picture...whose song is this and wat name is it?

  • @luckyleonardes one last breath by creed haha

  • @BULLHORNpictures , lol kewl man..im suscribing to you..and let me go try my own vid

  • @BULLHORNpictures ..oops i had the song, any more rock songs ud recommend for a fela?

  • @luckyleonardes haha there's Nickelback. I like Coldplay, James Blunt and a few others :) Sometimes i don't like a band, but may like one or two of their songs and vice versa :P

  • @BULLHORNpictures , That makes the two of us, Nickle , cold and james are one of my favourates,..then just jinger, U2, guns and roses , killers and the foo fyters....so can you make a trailer on AE?

  • @luckyleonardes trailer or tutorial? im randomly assuming you're looking for a twixtor tutorial? there's one on my channel already :)

  • @BULLHORNpictures . No i meant movie trailer or something, i wana know how to make a solid video from clips shot on differant locations.,..and can you help me with a torrent to a full version of twixter?..the one i got makes a huge cross on my clips.

  • @luckyleonardes yeah man, there's editing softwares like Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, Sony Vegas to edit, you'll have to buy them dude, there's some online ban on piracy happening :|

    Don't risk it.

  • @BULLHORNpictures , i have all those softwares....i just wanted to know how to combine different scenes together.

  • @luckyleonardes hahah FCP dude :)

  • How did you shoot at such a high shutter speed without the video being extremely dark?

  • @DruProductions1 Shot in really harsh sunlight man :) ans i let mi ISO go up to 3200!

  • @BULLHORNpictures Cool thanks man

  • check out this one, thats sucks watch?v=forA1B7VcYA

but yours is awesome )) liked urs

  • Awesome!

  • @BULLHORNpictures I too was referring to motion blur - was just clarifying for @trnx48 :)

  • is the shutter speed of 2000-4000 the key for the good quality of the slow motion?i mean not blurring and the smoothness? cause we all usually have the shutter speed twice the fps of the camera..can i succeed this smooth slow motion with a shutter speed of 120 if i shot 60 fps?thanks

  • @trnx48 the faster the shutter speed, the sharper all your frames will be! action scenes have a really high shutter speed and it gives a really cool effect! so when I wanna use twixtor, i just have to have ALL MY FRAMES SHARP AS HELL! so the high shutter speed. if i had a low shutter speed, i would have a lot of blur in my slow motion

  • @BULLHORNpictures so you must always then use an nd filter right? i thought that shutter speeds like 2000 causes the jerky cammera effect like the one of the private ryan movie..not smooth motion..can you please tell me when u use 2000 shutter what is your apperture, what is your iso,and if you use nd filter? thanks again

  • @trnx48 no ND filter man, high shutter speeds cut loads of light! keep your aperture as open as possible, and you will have to go upto high ISO levels because you're cutting down light with the shutter speed!

  • @BULLHORNpictures And blur means warping from twixtor.

  • @ResoImages the blur i meant is motion blur. all the images need to be sharp, hence the high shutter speed.

  • the camera itself is shooting at 60fps, so how do you get it that smooth at that slow? Twixtor?

  • @ididyomommy Yepp, Twixtor :)

  • the shots with the birds are awesome

  • @squall2231 yeah, i love the second shot when the three of em enter frame all at once :)

  • cud u pls tell me wat software did u use?.

  • @Mr550d twixtor plugin with after effects

  • @ColourSplashFilms 5. try to have backgrounds as out of focus as possible! never have trees or any dark colours as a background. keep a contrast with your subject, foreground and background since the plugin is colour based, it mixes colours thinking it's the same object.

    good luck

  • @ColourSplashFilms Hey, well not everything can be twixtored...

heres how you can avoid warping

    1. Keep your subject at a distance when shooting, the further the subject the more frames you have, the closer the subject the more distance from the frames.

    2. keep playing aroung with the key frames, not all shots can be twixtored, so keep trying places till the don't warp.

    3. shoot at a 4000 shutter, minimum of 2000.

    4. see my tutorial :)

  • songs name pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • @aldeevo One last breath - by Creed

  • @TheSuperSyahmi HAHAHHA while everybody was looking at the water... TSS grossed himself out xD

  • check out my vids Dance Slow Motion Twixtor

  • like vid, dislike song.

  • nice. What programs do you use?

  • Could you tell me some good render/composition settings for CS5 please? :D I have a gopro hd hero2 and am wanting to twixtor and have the best quality as I can. I know the gopro is not as good as the camera used in this video but 120 fps is alright for decent twixtoring :P But yeah, I just want a video with best quality and less motion blur :)

  • @XioNNation Shoot at 60fps/or the max fps on your camera at the highest shutter speed to avoid motion blur. You have to do this in good light! You will have to go to high ISO sensitivities. That's about it for your camera settings.

Download twixtor 4.5 for After Effects Watch tutorials about how to download/install/use it. That's how i learnt :)

I'll upload a tutorial soon. Good luck :)

  • @BULLHORNpictures Thanks for some of the tips =P

  • @BULLHORNpictures i am looking forward to see your tutorial. Amazing work!:)

  • i dont understand something... if it is shot in 60fps how come it can be viewed as if there are no frames missing and it looks like there actially is 1000 frames?

does software fill in between frames or something?

  • @MrOverhand The motion shouldn't be too fast, otherwise you'll end up having gaps between your frames. What the software does is, it merges the colours and pixels between frames quite smoothly, thus creating the effect of more frames. Some shots don't happen well, and the have a blurry look. Also, shoot at the highest shutter speed so the frames are all sharp. You will have to use a high ISO / shoot in good light!

  • @BULLHORNpictures aah now i understand... thanks a bunch mate.

my first dslr will be the 550d, it is always recommended

  • @MrOverhand Get the 600D, it has the articulated screen which is sooo damn HELPFUL

  • could you tell me how to get HD settings for my videos :))

    Thanks!

    -BenoG

  • @BenoGenius 60fps, 2000-4000 Shutter, can go upto 3200ISO, try having wide shots so the fast motion will still give you less distance between frames(the closer you go to your subject the more distance your frames have)

  • @BULLHORNpictures Thanks Bullhorn:))! does it work for Nikon d5000 ?

    -BenoG

  • @BenoGenius Only works on cameras that can shoot 60fps and above with manual settings for best quality..

  • hey bro..sorry for the foolish qstn..but,,does this record 1000 and abv like that?;*

  • @MrRahulzz Nah, just 60fps, then I used After Effects to increase the fram rate :)

  • @BULLHORNpictures Thnx Bro

  • nice shots and nice editing. i like.

Sometimes the vineting blur is a little over the top and a little to harsh, but in overall its great

  • @thephpjo Thanks a lot, yeah It got over done on the bridge shot :P

  • creed <3

  • please make a tutorial DUDE! That's AMAZING!:))

  • @BenoGenius Hey man, there are many tutorials already out, that's how I learnt, do have a look :) Good luck!

  • @MrScoutMasta download Twixtor for Sony Vegas :)

  • good work!

  • @MrScoutMasta Used a plugin called Twixtor in After Effects, and the other half was on camera.

  • @BULLHORNpictures Theres also a plugin twixtor for sony vegas

  • @majorhollandps3 Yepp there is :)

  • @BULLHORNpictures Would you mind if i ask you to watch my video on my channel called +E // 550D ? :)

  • @majorhollandps3 not at all :)

  • So how is the Canon 550D. Do you like it? Is it good? How is it for fast movement made present in short VFX films? Please reply, it would be deeply appreciated.

  • @ProxifyStudios Hey dude, the 550D is a great camera! it's HD and has complete manual/auto for videos/stills. You can make the camera do anything, use the footage for VFX and more.

  • @BULLHORNpictures Thanks man for the reply. I thinking on getting one so your comment really helped thanks.

  • @ProxifyStudios i suggest you get the 60D if you have a bigger budget, or a 600D which is the successor to the 550D. It has an articulated screen which you can turn around and get all those tough low angle and high angle shots and what not. also, get the canon 50mm f1.8 & canon 75-500mm USM lenses. they're pretty cheap :)

  • @BULLHORNpictures I'll keep that in mind, thanks again

  • Loved the birds!

  • @ElQueso57 ;) thanks for watching!

  • Awsome!!

  • @cruzer9982 Hey Cruzer, thanks a lot for watching! This is my very first Twixtor video actually.

Shoot at 60fps on your camera at the highest shutter which is 4000 of a second. You have to do this in good light! You will have to go to high ISO sensitivities. That's about it for your camera settings.

Download twixtor 4.5 for After Effects Watch tutorials about how to download/install/use it. That's how i learnt :)
