Give the guy a break. It's stressful filming a movie. He was stressed, the lighting guy was stressed, they were all stressed. He's embarrassed about it, so give him a break. Everybody's yelled at somebody before. He resolved it with the guy, and that's what matters. If he was actually a complete asshole, i'd still see the movies he's in, a lot of them are great.
In Christian's scene, he was very annoyed because he had to do the scene a lot of times, so it was very annoying at the time for him for yet another scene take to be ruined. It had been dragging on him all day, and he was in a bad mood, it happens to all of us. At least he did apologise when he first spoke.

I'm sorry if you can't respect another man's profession because you envy the life style, but these guys are working 15-19 hours a day, busting their ass. A lot of emotional energy, as well as physical energy goes into their job. They have to take sleeping pills just to make sure they don't loose sleep from thinking too much (Heath ledger died because of this, took TOO many pills by accident.)

Yeah this guy is annoying as hell. And I'm talkin about the radio fuckers. Christian Bale is still a good actor, and I love his movies. And people always just judge him so quick over one thing as if an actor, or any other celebrity, can't be mad over something. He probably had a bad day, but of course celebrities can't have those. Give the guy a break. It's stressful filming a movie. He was stressed, the lighting guy was stressed, they were all stressed. He's embarrassed about it, so give him a break. Everybody's yelled at somebody before. He resolved it with the guy, and that's what matters. If he was actually a complete asshole, i'd still see the movies he's in, a lot of them are great.

In Christian's scene, he was very annoyed because he had to do the scene a lot of times, so it was very annoying at the time for him for yet another scene take to be ruined. It had been dragging on him all day, and he was in a bad mood, it happens to all of us. At least he did apologise when he first spoke.

If you really think Bale did horrible acting as Batman, tell me why the new Batman movies are extremely successful. It's a challenging position, you have to treat actors like mental cases when things are like that, the pressure he's got on his mind is a lot more than just anybody can handle.

I'm sorry if you can't respect another man's profession because you envy the life style, but these guys are working 15-19 hours a day, busting their ass. A lot of emotional energy, as well as physical energy goes into their job. They have to take sleeping pills just to make sure they don't loose sleep from thinking too much (Heath ledger died because of this, took TOO many pills by accident.)

There are no excuses for taking your stress out on someone who does basically nothing wrong, and acting as if you are "above" another human, which is exactly what he did.

I disagree. This happened over half a year after the incident, so it's pretty obvious that the matter HAD been resolved between them already. Acting like it hadn't would have just have been weird. And yes, he does sell the movie, but he really seemed to be doing it to make sure that his infantile rage tirade doesn't overshadow the hard work from everyone else on the set.

Now, there is no real excuse for the kind of outburst he gave, but the guy had been awake for over two DAYS and he's trying to sum up real anger and emotion for this scene and for the second or third time, this light guy wanders on to the set and trashes the scene.

And so, at one point, he just lost it. Within reason, that is. I have a lot of respect for Christian Bale, especially now he's put this in context. In a tense situation like that I would lose it a bit....just not as badly! I almost think he should've stuck by his anger a little bit, would've sounded a bit more genuine if he's admitted that it was bloody annoying to have that mistake made twice(apparently) when you've poured your heart into getting into character for a scene.
