Actually TKD is a completely different thing than karate. I have been taking karate for 7 years. Kihon kata is just the very first basic kata you learn as a white belt. My karate teacher is an 8th degree black belt is a renowned karate instructor and respected all over the world. He started JKO "Japan karate Organization" and was taught by Mibuni Kenwa. "One of the three men who formed karate." His name is Hanshi Minobu Miki, look him up. My personal opinion, this guy's kata is ok.

It is from TKD, Kancho Mas Oyama took them, one two three, and the roundhouse kicks, from TKD

If it is taekwondo's first kata form then why is the titled of the video called "kihon" kata??? what gives??? And this guy in the video does it real crappy, I should know I failed the first kata form like 6 times!

@MB11113 Don't know about taekwon-do, it's shot-kan karate white belt kata, and he did it well.

yes, I think they should, karate doesnt give you super powers, and you cant see out of your ears, need to see an attack before you can block it, hope that makes sense, check out shotokan karate kata kihon, video put on here bu paragonmartialarts :)
