It's a bit small for goldfish, just do small tropical fish with aquatic plants added to this setup. They thrive. For sure do not put koi in something like this lol.
*please respond back* hey i have a pond that is about 2 times that but it is about just as deep that is why i could never keep fish in it because the birds would get them do u ever have that problem?*please respond back*
well i just lost a fish about 2 days ago, i think it was the birds. but if you have enough hiding places for the fish then they should be fine. i sometimes put a grate kinda thing over it when the birds start trying hard to get at the fish. at that point my pettet gun takes care of the rest.... ;)
Cute, I'd like to add a small "pond" to my own tiny gardening space. This is just about the right size. You are SO doing something right since these fish are lasting 4 years. Good job.
I have something like this only smaller. It's a little waterfall one and I have three fish in there. If you'd take a look it's one of my recent videos I'd love any advice since I'm new to ponds and goldfish. I have chickens too. This is cute.
there might be no plants but there is alot of air from the air pump and there is also a lot of surface area so there is oxygen. and it never gets that dirty.
thats fair enough i guess but dond u think those fish could do with a little more space, id take two of the big rocks out or put them in a bigger pond.
no they dont need 20 gallons each...i know they look like there crowed and swimming around all fast but they are just happy to see me cuz they no they are about to get fed......they wil adapt to there enviroment just like any other animal would do......there is plenty of oxygen in there and the pond gets cleaned regularly and there is space under the rocks
these fish can grow up to 12 inches so if you don't give them the right space and filtration then they are going to suffer and end up stunted so when the bones stop growing the organs will out grow the bones causing a painful death
here we go again....they are never going to get to a foot in length and i have never ever seen a goldfish...a common goldfish....get that big in my entire life. the biggest one i have ever seen was about 7 inches long...and that was in a LAKE. and besides when the bones stop growing wouldent the organs stop growing with them? they have been living happily in this pond and my aquariums for a long time

a filtration system would do good for your goldfish. also, a lot of diseases would be prevented.
