pokemon trainers my main :D, used to be Dr..mario (I know he was somewhat of a clone but that didn't stop them from making fox, falco and wolf...) in melee and pikachu in the original.

Brawl doesnt really have clones. Each character has been changed such that each is played quite differently, even if the types of b-moves are similar (like having similar reflectors,laser guns and similar up-b recovery)

all the characters can be incredibly good if you know how to use them, hell, i mained jigglypuff, and i could have make a combo video, and it wasnt until 2 months after i switched to diddy that i found out that jigglypuff was the 3rd worst character in the game, now, i go by "Tiers are for queers"

yes, but you can click on a certain pokemon when you choose him. Clicking on the trainer changes his costume and clicking on a pokemon chooses your starter. Hope that helps.
