  • Man, that sounds like it Could power a house

  • Hm... Good for laptop charging... :)))

  • that's surely a rankine engine( not fully a rankine but likely to be that way) and I'm wondering where is the exhaust tube for vapor comes out...after it enters the mini turbine?

  • you could focus a parabolic reflector or a fresnel mirror onto the boiler then you would not need to waste natural gas.

  • :0 HOLY....... FREAKIN AWESOME.

  • Rube Goldburg machine. xD

  • PRESS 3, 4, 5, 3, 3, 4, 5, 3 for "frere jacque, frere jacque"

  • SOUNDS LIKE 747 ENGINE RUNNING

  • i wait for a Mini nuclear power generating Station to do the same

  • wow, thats fast. if you fast-forward the video in about 10-sec-steps, you hear a kinda gamut... lol

  • where is the gas source? (for the fire)

  • OMG that awesome

  • Sounds like a miniature CFM56!

  • Fucking Germans.. always inventing wonderful things...

  • does it output any power or is it jsut for show?

  • @Si3z3 - It's powering the bulbs, 4 light bulbs on the front

  • What rpm is that thing spinning at? Awesome!

  • Very VERY cool! Wish I had one. Good job! Well done!

  • What is being used as fuel?

  • @seahawkers101 could be alcohol

  • You can get a version of it from gyroscope(dot)com for 194 pounds, different turbine (Hero of Alexandria style) but same boiler.

  • were did you get your materials??

  • This video is brilliant wonder where did you purchased the miniature generator?and all other things, exactly what picture on my mind to save the heat loss. That what I need for my projects,do appreciated if you could direct me to the seller.

  • This model was made by Karsten Gintschel, in Germany. I bought it from an engineer, in Los Angeles, who had tweaked it up a bit. Good luck, finding one like it.

  • @SuperJamming - There are many Stirling Engine Manufacturers on the web. Search Ebay and Amazon for starters...

  • STEAMPUNK!

  • Great ! I like it and i like everything what makes steam and everything pushed or rotated by steam. Your generator gives more light than the flame you use to make steam Good job.

  • ITS A MODEL.

    IDIOT.

  • Where can you buy these? I want one =)

  • CANINSTRA, now that my friend, is a good idea!

  • I am on my way to the garage to make a steam turbine flashlight

    no joke!

  • Maybe you can save the steam, why dot´t you make a close circuit?, condensated it, and with a pump electric pump, re heated it again in the boiler.

  • Shouldn't even need a pump if you plumb it correctly.

  • wow, what a sound!

  • thats amazing! whit kind of bulbs were those? ive got a couple m ore questions, but ill ask them later

  • I believe they are 5mm, fully diffused, pure white, LEDs.

  • kool

  • It's difficult to capture the sound of them properly isn't it?

  • Certainly, once the pitch of the turbine gets high enough, the camera cannot properly record it.

  • lol
