Newspapers still have their place - blogs and even the biggest online news sites (Huffington Post) can't compete with a well-resourced newspaper when it comes to breaking the big stories. Take the MPs expenses scandal in the UK - a blogger couldn't have afforded that kind of information, but the Daily Telegraph could, thankfully!
what about the importance of said newspapaers NOT PRINTING LIES to give Evil Government officials A "SOURCE" to use to sell BULLSHIT WARS to an unwilling public?
newspapers are done. we're a nation of bloggers now. deal with it.
How 'bout the NYT stop selling newspapers to SELL the public a president who will say ANYTHING to get elected, and then use all media channels to hype up his agenda, and when he hasn't gotten his way, uses his underlings - along with union thugs - to protect himself... while the media turns its eyes away from the truth.
hey Union thugs are against the government. problem with the unions is the leadership and lack of direction thats all. the idea of "unions" is a well established principled value we have in this country. its democracy in action. its pushing the real thugs around till people start getting what they've rightfully earned in the work place.
