  • Paul's singing never ceases to amaze me!

  • One of the few times John takes a solo, and they didn't film him..... wow..... oh well, still great. Paul's energy is what makes this song so great.

  • As much as I love the Beatles no one sings this song quite as good as Little Richard.

  • Anything that came out of that old rickenbacker of John's is now classic

  • IF I COULD SUM UP THE BEATLES IN ONE WORD IT WOULD BE .....FUN!

  • u assholes have NOmusical ears. any real musician knows mccartney was never replace. it is disgraceful that people can't and won't try to learn to hear music

  • ick pauls mick has static :(

  • John played the first solo. George played the second solo. You can tell because George improvised on the guitar which was great. If you listen, his solo is different here than it was on the 1964 NME. I like this solo better.

  • cool

  • Wow Paul was horrible on that song. Im starting to think he was already replaced by the imposter Faul by this time. Paul was replaced but it is either before Rubber Soul or before Revolver. I think it was before Rubber Soul and these bad live performances by Paul in 1965 sort of prove that. Im still up in the air about it.

  • @childintime12 Weed proves it. End of story. The Beatles started to use weed heavily, lost interest in the live act as they explained SEVERAL times, so they didn't play that good in 65-66. But please, stop these "Hey, Paul was replaced", cause it's bullshit. If you are a real Beatles fan (and therefore Paul McCartney fan) you'll realize that Paul never changed, he still has the same mannerisms, voice and everything. You can't copy that. So stop the Paul is Dead bullshit, please.

  • @WhyWouldIDoThat1 Watch the Paul is dead DVD the last testament of george harrison. While it might not be george talking the video shows you everything you have to know. He looks different and sounds terrible. The Beatles didnt like him and barely hung out with him. Cannn you explain why Faul had no friends after the beatles? George and Ringo still hung out with the rolling stones bob dylan and others from the time. Nobody like FAUL so get off his nuts. Hes not real.

  • @WhyWouldIDoThat1 I dont know you but I wouldnt lie to you. He was replaced and FAUl is weird as hell. Is plastic surgery and creepyness is obvious and documented.

  • @childintime12 Dude you sound completely incoherent. The last testament is a joke, everyone knows it. But you're forgivable cause you don't seem to know much about Paul, since you're unable to see that he is the same as he was 50 years ago. The same mannerisms, same way to smile and all, it's something you can't copy. So no, no plastic surgery, sorry. And he had friends after the Beatles. But even if it hadn't been the case the fuck has this to do with the fact that he's the real Paul ?

  • @childintime12 And the Beatles did like him. They liked him and respected his talent, but there were arguments because he was a perfectionist and it could get on John, George or Ringo's nerves. But having arguments doesn't mean that you're not friends with someone. And come on, the whole PID thing is ridiculous. It's so unreal. So yeah Paul died, and instead of announcing it they started a fucking casting and finally found a guy with the exacy same head, voice, talent etc... Gimme a break.

  • George is adorable.

  • John plays the first solo, but George plays the second. This is evident if you watch George's strumming hand during both breaks.

  • Let's all be fair. Rubbish.

  • I would be hysterical :o

  • 3 people are short, tiny, uh- some girl's name that isn't sally.

  • Macca shredding his voice like John does in Twist n Shout, finishing on a 7th not done anymore by anyone.

  • a pretty dull crowd...and Macca does his best.

  • playing his guitar solo george jhon is the best..

    :D

  • George's solo is much more colourful.

  • @Helmut83 cnt even hear johns

  • @Helmut83 Yeah, It shows how much better he was at lead guitar than Lennon and McCartney were...

  • John plays the first solo and George plays the second...like it was on the record...same production screw up happens on videos of "You Can't Do That" which John plays the solo on as well.

  • long tall sally!!!!!!!!!!!! i love the beatles have a good timee stoping and all that and shouting, anything you like you know just have a good laugh jjjj hes tooo funny 0:9

  • Ringo was in the zone...

  • YIPNNLLUPM,.MPJLOJKOHKUKN´PLM,LHJLYÌKL

  • 2:09 OMG !!!! RINGO THE BEST DRUMMER OF THE WORLD !!!!!

  • Holy fuck! They were so cool. I wish I was there.....

  • It's amazing how well they sounded live...........

  • Great...

  • Ringo is not a good drummer..., sorry to tell you.

  • @SystemofaEricCartman he can probably keep a better beat then you... sorry to tell you

  • @SystemofaEricCartman Really, funny George Martin has a different opinion: "Ringo has established himself with a sound that was quite unique and is the best rock drummer in the world." To the Las Vegas Sun on June 7th, 2011. So does Phil Collins, drummer for Genesis: "I think he's vastly underrated. The drum fills on A Day In The Life are very complex things. You could take a great drummer today and say, 'I want it like that.' They wouldn't know what to do." ( The Making of Sg. Pepper, 1992)

  • @garotadagavea I agree, ridiculous to see virtually every Beatles video has some comments about what a terrible drummer Ringo was, when in fact he was highly innovative. People need to consider his drumming in the context of the times - rock and roll was still being invented, styles such as 80's metal and 70's prog that placed emphasis on technical ability were years away. There were no right answers in the early 60's, the Beatles were creating rock music while the whole world watched

  • 2:06 THE ROLLING STONES????. JA, JA, JA, JA. PEOPLE FUCKING THIS CALEBRATING CONCERT. WELL, THE ROLLING ARE FANTASTIC BUT THE BEATLES... ARE THE BEATLES.

  • It's amazing how all the films (not on the rooftop of Abbey Road)

fulfilled the rule that Lennon could not be filmed doing his solos,

    at his request.

  • You can hear them, they're doing a great performance, only thing missing: color!

  • Oh my god, a Beatles concert

where you can ACTUALLY HEAR THEM?

  • ah! So wish this was in color...

  • Wow I can't believe Paul sings this! I could have sworn it was John.

  • Thanks for posting. Funny thing about these vids of the Beatles live performances is that (unsurprisingly) they couldn't hear themselves play! Ringo is actually the givaway at such moments as he grins.

  • Paul's. Voice. <3

  • BFFB : )

  • they are so funny when they dance! specially Paul!! makes you wanna dance too! :D

  • fucking Great with this sonG I wana dancee all nigth!! :D :D

  • john didnt like the camera on him during solos

  • @jaketheguitarist6379 why not?

  • @Grandad99137 he said it in an interview

  • 2:09 ringo with perhaps the best rock and roll drumming and first ever headbanging:D

  • @beatlemaniabeatle Ya, it's too bad he's lost in the mix. You can hear him better on the Paris video.

  • 2:09 ringo with perhaps the best rock and roll drumming and first ever headbanging:D

  • john plays the 1st solo, george the 2nd

  • George's solo sounds more like "Kansas City" than "Long Tall Sally", interesting little twist there.

  • offfttttttt, go on paul give it some welly ;)

  • Stop picking it apart...they were just fabulous.

  • John is, of course, playing the LEAD guitar on Long Tall Sally, as he always does, but the camera is on George during the Lead Break because the camera operators and production people are not wise to the fact.

  • @vwtch Yeah, I don't know how many times similar "incidents" happened during the 60s shows. It seems they had absolutely no clue much too often.

  • @SixtiesPopGoldExtra1 @vwtch actually john requsted during solos he had the camera tured to another beatle or the crowd to release tension. this occurs in "you cant do that" also

  • @vwtch John's still rhythm guitar

  • @vwtch yeah and during that 2nd guitar solo they think paul is doing the guitar solo, when he actually is just playing bass, hahahaha.

  • @vwtch

George plays lead, John only plays the first solo.

  • @vwtch John plays the first break and George plays the second.

  • @vwtch John played only the 1st solo, but George played the 2nd solo.

  • @vwtch Yeah your right George wasn't playing lead on that.

  • @vwtch It's completely obvious that George is not playing lead during the first break, but it looks as though he is during the second break.

  • @pbnpete1 As in the original record of the song, John plays the first solo and George the second.

  • @vwtch what the hell? as as he always did? you're an idiot! now later on he played more lead but back in theese days here george was and STILL is the man on lead!

  • @vwtch It seems like (in this performance anyway) John does the first solo and George does the second one

  • @goodhumourman Correct. John always played that first lead break on Long Tall Sally. I really like John's guitar playing. Hell, I really like Paul's lead break on some of the songs, such as Tax Man, too. The way all three of them took turns on The End is still one of the finest rock guitar I've ever heard.

  • @vwtch yeah those bastards! i checked this out just to see Lennon rip it up! the boy could play!

  • Comment removed

  • @vwtch actually geroge pays the second solo though but yeah the first is played by john

  • @vwtch Yeah and they usually don't Film George when he plays his leads

  • @vwtch Are you sure it's not because of the same reason they won't show him playing the You Can't Do That solo? He must have told the camera men not to film the solo. He WAS insecure with his guitar playing

  • @vwtch Look a little more closely.

  • @vwtch well, the second lead break/solo is played by mr. harrison. so they just had it 50% wrong.

  • Is that John taking the first lead 0:58 - 1:13?? Cool!!

  • Rubbish, better listen to Little Richard's original!

  • Ringo Rocks!!!!!!!!!!

  • Holy crap, Paul just blows up his vocal chords in this. This is the reason why 70-year-old Paul is losing it (not to say he's no good any more)... Oh! Darling and Long Tall Sally are catching up with him.

  • Paul, keep on rockin!

  • great quality, both audio and visual :) the excitement of rock 'n' roll is so infectious!
