Some people say they are the black version of the KKK, but that is untrue, they were started to protect African Americans from police brutality and racist mobs in the 60's during protest, to my knowledge there aren't any cases of the black panther party lynching white people, tying them to trucks and dragging them down streets or kidnapping and murdering white people.
