@somekidnamed I don't think that's true at all, every time i've seen her in a debate she's come across by far the most credible, informed, ethically sound and articulate. The fact that she comes across as a genuine and sensitive human being only adds to this in my view.

Trident is funded centrally from the Westminster Government while Health and education are funded from the Scottish executive in Holyrood. How can the SNP promise to spend money that doesn't belong to them and still be credible.

That is true but the tax money being spent on trident is still comming from westminster so even if trident didn't go ahead Alex Salmond still wouldn't have a say in how the money is spent as he is in Holyrood".

My point was that an independent/more devolved Scotland would control it's own defence, and - under SNP or Lib Dem - opt out of the Trident program and spend the tax revenue saved from maintaining useless, heavily-armed, terrorist-target subs on health, education etc. An SNP government in Holyrood would seek to make Scotland independent, or at least lobby to change the system and get more of a say on Scottish-related matters.
