I think of Garry every so often and I am really glad we were friends on the "outside." I attended many concerts and pubs with Garry- he was a really cool dude. Thanks for this tribute, EB, the last photo of you and him is a classic! luv, Special K
A big thank you to Garry and the rest of the wonderful crews of Amtrak to deliver us safely to our destinations time and time again. You are all the true heroes of traveling, from the ticket agent to the engineer. While I have met many fantastic Amtrak employees, I never met this one unfortunately. RIP Garry.
I remember working with Gary back in 94-94, He was the AC on many trains I worked out of Boston as an LSA.
He was a True Gentleman, a really nice guy. It was a pleasure to have been on his trains. He had a crazy (in a good way partner) the two of then made the day that much better, right DC3.
On the first annivesary of my brother Garry's death,I want to thank you for a wonderful tribute to a great man and a great big brother. He is truly missed. Also to his good friend Yvette,Your in my thoughts and prayers today.Thank you all,I know what you all meant to Garry.
This is a nice tribute. Sounds like he was a really great guy. And a definite symbol of railroad pride. All I've ever been is a passenger, but....I can sense those crew who have the true...spirit of railroading. It shows! A 21 airhorn salute, please!
He must have been a great guy for friends to do a tribute like this!!!
I will be riding Amtrak 5 days from now. My niece and I will riding from Buffalo (Depew) NY to Washington DC for a quick 3 day sping break trip and can't wait to do this and meet all you great Amtrak employees and yes i will shed a tear for Gary!!! God Bless all you great Amtrak people!!!
I am sorry about your close friend Mr. Libby. It is people like him, you, and your co-worker that keep Amtrak running, and keeps us Amtrak passengers coming back time and time again, for without you guys and girls, things would be different. A big THANK YOU go out to all Amtrak employees that get us to our destinations safely every day across America.

I remember when Gary hired out on Conrail. He was a wonderful guy and always had a smile and warm greeting when I saw him. He will be missed.

Garry was in his early 50's when he passed away. Thanks for your considerate and thoughtful commentary.
